I loved this book, got me almost from page 1-112, not a cliff hanger, no dirty language, just a great love story. Would have liked an epilogue. GJRA

It was a good book. However, Jessica's character was too immature, needy, and weak. She is a teacher, in charge of many kids, so her character should have been stronger and wiser. I also did not like the "cat and mouse" games she played with Levi. She had a huge case of self-pity and it was extremely annoying. She relied on other peope to take care of her and make her happy. But she did not give anything in return. I did not like her character, it was too weak and pathetic. Gtx

Simple and sweet but perhaps wrapped up a little too quickly and neatly. True love does not happen in a week or two...

This reminds me more of a Nicholas sparks love story more than a romance novel. Really a great read!

The blurb drew me in with a little boy asking both God and Santa for a daddy for Christmas. How cute is that? This little guy was adorable. Can you imagine taking the Police Chief for show-and-tell, not because of his job but to say he was going to be the boy's new daddy? Since his mother was also his teacher, she witnessed the scene. She later tried to explain that Levi was not going to be his daddy but the 6-year-old didn't believe her. This was a great romance. Surprisingly (after being set up) Levi and Jessica (Kevin's mom) found that they liked each other's company and started spending time together. Maybe Kevin knew what he was talking about when he took Levi for show-and-tell? Jessica was adamant that they weren't dating. She had lost her husband 2 years earlier and did not want to risk heartbreak again. She especially didn't want to be with someone in a dangerous job. Jessica was a terrific mother. She didn't want to risk having her son hurt by getting attached to someone that she got involved with then potentially breaking his heart if he left. The characters were very real and likable. I loved the way Levi was with Kevin. He was kind and considerate of him. Levi was clearly very fond of the boy. And the dogs just helped tie this group together. Kevin's dog, Roscoe, was a big gentle-giant kind of dog that played with Kevin and looked out for him at the same time. I was smiling all the way through this book so if you like clean, sweet romances, you will love With This Ring.

Not a cliffhanger, just selfish, inconsiderate mother. She clings to her widow weeds even when she was attracted to Levi. She is an idiot. She wonders why her son, Kevin, is fixated on getting a Dad. When Adam, her deceased husband, was buried: she stayed in Kansas where Kevin had her family and Adams' family to nurture and love him. In the middle of the term she accepts a new job in Florida!!! Any mother, who knew their child, would have tried to make the move easier on him. Jessica did not. She is an idiot. She does want another man. She repeatedly says those words, but her words are meaningless. Her actions appear to say "TAKE ME!!!" and she kisses a man who she denies she has any feelings for where her son could see!! She is an idiot and does not get my vote. Levi is a loving man who has given everything to the people he is charged to protect. He is ready to settle down... Jessica needs to learn how to be a better mother to Kevin before she can be a wife to Levi.....

I love the comeback of Jessica in the heart-warming story. It is delightful and easy to read. Taking a chance on love when all she's trying to do is protect her and her son from future heartbreaks. Another fantastic book in the series and I highly recommend this one also.

With This Ring by Debra Clopton Windswept Bay Series Book Six Levi Sinclair was content in his career as the Windswept Bay chief of police. He wasn't planning on marriage or family, just focused on work. And then a six-year-old boy who asked him to be his show-in-tell changed everything. Jessica Lyons had lost her husband two years ago. Suddenly, her son wants a new daddy. When God or Santa didn't deliver one to him, he took it upon himself to choose the man himself. And her son was quite determined when he set his mind to something. The first five books in this series were for the Sinclair sisters. Now it's the brothers turns to find that perfect woman. Great characters and story line. Including a couple of really big dogs that add to it. Looking forward to the next book already.

I enjoyed this well-written, sweet, heart warming book. Jessica is the mother of a six year old son and has been a widow for two years. Her son asks the Chief of Police, Levi, to come to school as his "show and tell," and surprises both his mom and Levi when he announces that Levi is his next dad! This can be read as a stand alone series, though it is part of a series with related characters set in Windswept Bay.

I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily writing an honest review. After meeting the Sinclair sisters in the first part of this series, Book 6 allows us to get to know brother Levi. He is the police chief of Windswept Bay and apparently all the single ladies want him. Except for Jessica, well its not that she doesn't want him rather she is still recovering from losing her husband a few years earlier. When Levi agrees to be Jessica's son's show and tell, Kevin shocks them both by announcing to the entire class that Levi is going to be his new daddy. The result of this is a truly romantic, emotional story. Debra Clopton has the ability to work magic with her characters, making them seem as if they are friends with the reader. This book is heartwarming!

Wonderful, wonderful story that is full of interesting and likable characters, including a sweet, little boy who is determined that he has found a new daddy for his mommy! I really felt for Levi in this novel. As he began to fall in love with Jessica, it becomes clear that although she may have feelings for him that are growing, she also has a fear of moving on to love another man, having lost her husband a couple of years earlier. Jessica has so many fears in this book and she must work to overcome them. I loved this story! The author did a great job with the little boy and making him believable and sweet. The two main characters were wonderful, as well. I’m, once again, looking forward to the next book in this series. With This Ring is a great addition to the Windswept Bay series that can be read as a part of the series or as a stand alone. There are numerous characters who make appearances in all of the books of the series, so you really get a better all around understanding of what is going on if you read all of the stories. And they are all so fun and romantic, how could you not want to? I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I have enjoyed the stories of the Sinclair sisters in the Windswept Bay series but the series just keeps getting better! I believe this tender story of Levi Sinclair may be my favorite! Six year old Kevin plays matchmaker with his widow mom and the hunky police chief, Levi, who is content with his single life. Debra Clopton always writes believable tales with awesome characters and Windswept Bay is a beautiful setting. I recommend With This Ring to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance. I received an Advance Reader Copy. This is my honest opinion.

With This Ring ( Windswept Bay -Book 6) By Debra Clopton With This Ring is book six in Windswept Bay series By Debra Clopton. Clopton really knows how to capture you right at the start and not let go till the end. I have really enjoyed all this series about the Four Sinclair sister and watching them fall in love. Now we start with the five Sinclair brothers and their stories. This is Levi Sinclair’s story . I laughed so much in this story and then there was times that I had tears in my eyes and holding my breath. Clopton did not disappoint me. Kevin a six year old little boy really wanted a daddy for Christmas. He even goes so far as to ask God and Santa for one. Was he disappointed when Christmas came and there was no daddy under the tree? He starts to really take matters into his hands. He is going to find him a daddy. He thinks the handsome Chief of Police Levi Sinclair will make him a fine daddy. Wow, I laughed at this little boy so much. What does his mother ,Jessica, and also his school teacher think of Kevin trying to find him a new daddy? What does the handsome Levi think of Kevin telling him he is going to be his new daddy? What does Levi think of Kevin and Jessica? Will Kevin find him a new daddy? I was given a complimentary copy of this book , but was not told that I had to give a positive review.

This edition to the series is Levi's story. For those who may not have read the previous entries in the series, Levi is the chief of police in Windswept Bay. Well, in a previous book, we meet Jessica and her young son, Kevin. Jessica has been a widow for 2 years and Kevin is ready for a new daddy. The problem, is convincing Jessica that she's ready for a new husband. This book provides a full spectrum of emotions. From the opening scenes I was chuckling at Kevin. Yet, not everything is laughable. There are plenty of very sobering issues discussed - especially as you learn of what happened to Jessica's husband, Adam. I love how the author was able to delicately and gently discuss such a sensitive topic as what happened to Jessica. And, to do it with humor sprinkled throughout is impressive. I also like how the reader gets to continue with all the other siblings and their lives as part of the backstory. It makes them feel real. Romance - PG - some kisses Language - clean My rating - 5 stars

When a book by Ms. Clopton falls in my hands, the daily duties are put on hold and I literally hunker down to read it. This latest book of her series ,Windswept Bay did not disappoint me. Now that the 4 Sinclair sisters have found their significant other, the brothers are getting their story. The first one is Levi Sinclair, the poilce chief. Jessica, a widow and her very precocious little 6 year old boy named Kevin, are the ones to steal his heart. It all starts when Kevin, visits the police department and invites Levi to be his “show and tell” in school. Little does Levi know that instead of being “shown” as the police chief, he is being presented as his future daddy. That’s the start of a very sweet and enjoyable story. As usual, besides an entertains story, Ms. Clopton shows us that love can come more than once in our lives. That losing a spouse, is heartbreaking, but that we should not close ourselves to love. That it’s worth loving , and losing than not risking having loved , even if only for a short time. Thank you , Ms Clopton , for another delightful look of the Sinclair family. One that I have come to feel as part of my own. Can’t wait for Max’s story. I was gifted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Jessica Lyons is a widow with a six year old son Kevin. He has asked Santa and God for a new Daddy. Since he didn't get his wish, he is taking matters into his own hands. Levi Sinclair is the Chief of Police in Windswept Bay. Kevin asked Levi to come to school for his Show and Tell day. Levi is all set to talk about police work when he gets the surprise of his life. Nice story of a little boy on a mission. Jessica fear of losing someone she loves again. joy943
