After her small son, Kevin, asked both God and Santa for a new daddy for Christmas, and then didn't find him under the tree, schoolteacher Jessica Price is starting the new year out with a very unhappy six-year-old little boy on her hands. He can't understand that she's only been a widow for two years and she can't imagine marrying again. But, unknown to her, Kevin has a plan and has decided that if God and Santa won't give him what he wants, then maybe the police can!

When the very handsome chief of police, Levi Sinclair, shows up as Kevin's show-and-tell, he believes—as does she—that Kevin has asked him there to show him off as the police chief—it's a little awkward when her son introduces him as his next daddy!

Things are getting a bit complicated on the shores of Windswept Bay! Come join the fun in With This Ring, book 6 of this captivating series. You've watched the four Sinclair sisters fall in love; now it's time to watch the five Sinclair brothers find the women of their dreams.

I loved this book, got me almost from page 1-112, not a cliff hanger, no dirty language, just a great love story. Would have liked an epilogue. GJRA

A very sweet romantic story. Though the way the story reads you don’t get too invested into the characters. It’s still entertaining.

Loved the characters the author created. Worth reading the sweet romantic story. Wish these books were longer, but sometimes a short story is great for a relaxing day.

Simple and sweet but perhaps wrapped up a little too quickly and neatly. True love does not happen in a week or two...

It was a good book. However, Jessica's character was too immature, needy, and weak. She is a teacher, in charge of many kids, so her character should have been stronger and wiser. I also did not like the "cat and mouse" games she played with Levi. She had a huge case of self-pity and it was extremely annoying. She relied on other peope to take care of her and make her happy. But she did not give anything in return. I did not like her character, it was too weak and pathetic. Gtx

This reminds me more of a Nicholas sparks love story more than a romance novel. Really a great read!

The blurb drew me in with a little boy asking both God and Santa for a daddy for Christmas. How cute is that? This little guy was adorable. Can you imagine taking the Police Chief for show-and-tell, not because of his job but to say he was going to be the boy's new daddy? Since his mother was also his teacher, she witnessed the scene. She later tried to explain that Levi was not going to be his daddy but the 6-year-old didn't believe her. This was a great romance. Surprisingly (after being set up) Levi and Jessica (Kevin's mom) found that they liked each other's company and started spending time together. Maybe Kevin knew what he was talking about when he took Levi for show-and-tell? Jessica was adamant that they weren't dating. She had lost her husband 2 years earlier and did not want to risk heartbreak again. She especially didn't want to be with someone in a dangerous job. Jessica was a terrific mother. She didn't want to risk having her son hurt by getting attached to someone that she got involved with then potentially breaking his heart if he left. The characters were very real and likable. I loved the way Levi was with Kevin. He was kind and considerate of him. Levi was clearly very fond of the boy. And the dogs just helped tie this group together. Kevin's dog, Roscoe, was a big gentle-giant kind of dog that played with Kevin and looked out for him at the same time. I was smiling all the way through this book so if you like clean, sweet romances, you will love With This Ring.

Not a cliffhanger, just selfish, inconsiderate mother. She clings to her widow weeds even when she was attracted to Levi. She is an idiot. She wonders why her son, Kevin, is fixated on getting a Dad. When Adam, her deceased husband, was buried: she stayed in Kansas where Kevin had her family and Adams' family to nurture and love him. In the middle of the term she accepts a new job in Florida!!! Any mother, who knew their child, would have tried to make the move easier on him. Jessica did not. She is an idiot. She does want another man. She repeatedly says those words, but her words are meaningless. Her actions appear to say "TAKE ME!!!" and she kisses a man who she denies she has any feelings for where her son could see!! She is an idiot and does not get my vote. Levi is a loving man who has given everything to the people he is charged to protect. He is ready to settle down... Jessica needs to learn how to be a better mother to Kevin before she can be a wife to Levi.....

I love the comeback of Jessica in the heart-warming story. It is delightful and easy to read. Taking a chance on love when all she's trying to do is protect her and her son from future heartbreaks. Another fantastic book in the series and I highly recommend this one also.

With This Ring by Debra Clopton Windswept Bay Series Book Six Levi Sinclair was content in his career as the Windswept Bay chief of police. He wasn't planning on marriage or family, just focused on work. And then a six-year-old boy who asked him to be his show-in-tell changed everything. Jessica Lyons had lost her husband two years ago. Suddenly, her son wants a new daddy. When God or Santa didn't deliver one to him, he took it upon himself to choose the man himself. And her son was quite determined when he set his mind to something. The first five books in this series were for the Sinclair sisters. Now it's the brothers turns to find that perfect woman. Great characters and story line. Including a couple of really big dogs that add to it. Looking forward to the next book already.
