About the Author

Ruth Ann Nordin has written seventy romances, ranging from Regencies to historical westerns to contemporaries. She plays with other genres from time to time, but her first love is romance. She has been happily married for eighteen years to a sweet and funny guy, and they have four sons, who are all taller than Ruth now that they're 12, 13, 14, and 16. The good thing is she doesn't need a ladder, and there's always someone to take care of a mouse that squeezes its way into her Montana home. She considers herself very lucky to have led such a charmed life. Being able to play with characters and create stories is just icing on the cake. Hopefully, she'll get to keep doing this many years to come.

Quick and easy read. This is your stereotypical RomCom and could easily be a movie with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant, except for the honeymoon scene that gets unnecessarily graphic during the last few pages of the book. Funny - pokes fun of romance novels and sleazy daytime talk shows - and shows growth of a relationship over a longer period of time, including resolution of past hurts. Of course, the situation in which the characters find themselves is not one that is common to many people, it is still believable to a certain extent. the resolution of the plot is too swift, though, and results in an ending that seems forced. All in all, a fun read if you are simply looking to be entertained.

I loved this book! It was funny and kept you wanting to read until it was done!

The story itself was about 180 pages long. This romance is cute and funny. There is conflict with a sweet resolution. It is lovely to read a contemporary romance where the heroine and hero have high standards and morals.

This is a contemporary romance with a twist, in my opinion. The main characters are virgins in a time when that is almost considered a disease. Just understand that for those who consider this "slow-moving", it is more about a higher moral code. Those who believe the ending is too racy have likely not read too many other contemporary romances. Taken as I believe it's intended, I thought it was wonderful! The scenery descriptions make you feel it, smell it, and experience the Alaska I hope truly exists. The only contrived part is the incidental involvement of robbers, but I think the ultimate explanation satisfied their climatic presence nicely. Couldn't put it down!

Without giving away any part of the story (for those of you who would still choose to read it) this book is beyond unrealistic! I didn't heed some of the reviews that said the conversation were fake or something like that - they were! It also needs some editing. All- in - all; I don't think it was worth my time. I would NOT RECOMMEND.

Ryan Jackson and Elizabeth Valentine have been arch-enemies since high school. Both Ryan¿s and Elizabeth¿s parents agree that it is time these two grow up. That is why their parents propose an ultimatum¿either get married to each other or be disowned. Their parents believe they are meant for each other. Ryan and Elizabeth agree to get married. Besides their parents said that they only have to stay married for four months and after that time, they can get an annulment. There is a catch. Elizabeth and Ryan will spend the next four months in a secluded cabin, out in the middle of Alaska, miles from anyone. Ryan and Elizabeth figure how hard can living with each other as husband and wife be? Besides it is only for four months. I have read several Ruth Ann Nordin novels now. While I do enjoy them, I do have to say that With This Ring, I Thee Dread is by far my second favorite book, after An Unlikely Place for Love. This story is categorized as a romantic comedy and I totally agree. I couldn¿t stop laughing. One of the funniest moments had to have been when Ryan and Elizabeth were trying to one up each other by who could gross the other one out the most. For example Ryan knew Elizabeth hated men with mustaches, so he started growing one; where in turn Elizabeth didn¿t shave her legs. I did think Ryan was a sweetheart. He tried to learn what women want and even read some of Elizabeth¿s romance novels. Of course through he really only read them for the sex scenes. Last but not least, if you are looking for a romantic comedy then you have to pick up a copy of this book today.

What a cute story! Totally quick and easy read, but had great comedy and romance. I read a review of this book at Cheryl's Book Nook blog and thought it looked cute, so thanks, Cheryl, for that review. I read this book in one sitting and thouroughly enjoyed it.I loved all the constant jabs between Ryan and Beth. It was comical! When it finally came down to finding out the truth about the other, I liked Ryan's analytical method. His making of lists, and writing down questions was intriguing and is something totally like me! I also like Ryan's sincerity when it came down to proving to Beth that he cared about her. Beth was the stubborn one, and I think the author did a great job of showing Ryan's ambition to break down those walls.Overall, cute read. Short and funny, but worth it!

Not her best. The idea is good but too much boring dialogue.

I'm really glad this book was free. The only reason I finished it was to see if it would redeem itself so I could write an honest review. I think this author has issues with going begween historical and contemporary. The dialog almost wpuld have worked in an historical romance. It simply wasn't believable by the end.

I gave this book a four star rating. Here is why...I really enjoyed the idea behind the story. Parents make their kids get married and live in Alaska for four months. Ryan and Beth hate each other and little by little not only do you find out why they hate each other, but they learn to love each other. The four star rating comes because some of the dialogue was rushed and a bit forced. Like the author had to hurry up and write it. Some of it sounded as if a middle schooler had written it. However, with that being said, it is still a cute story.

This was cute. Kind of. It seemed like the dialogue was fake and unbelievable at times.

Not what I am used to reading. I like my books SPICY. Appropriate for younger readers. All in all it was interesting after I got into the book. In the beginning it felt like it was written for teens.
