I can't tell you just how much I enjoyed this story! It had it all......adventure, love, sex, longing, guilt, and even at times I was laughing out loud. This book is a breath of fresh air. Totally different and totally amazing. I read this book in 1 day and could not put it down. I loved the plot and really enjoyed the writing style. Withering Hope is just one of those books that keeps pulling you back in long after you have finished it!

This is the first novel I’ve read by this author, and she did not disappoint. It’s a great light read, quick to get through. The story is cute, with the two lead characters fighting their growing attraction because Aimee is engaged…to Tristan’s boss! But like it often happens, at least in novels, the danger of trying to survive brings the two closer. The story isn’t particularly deep, but it does satisfy and was a nice way to relax.

One of the best books I have read in a long time. It may be under 200 pages but you will not be disappointed. Sure it could have been longer but that took nothing away from the this wonderful love story. I couldn't put it down. A & T were great charcters. Have tissues handy!!

Very suspenseful. Story of Aimee and Tristan after their plane crashed in the rain forest on the way to Brazil where Aimee is to meet with her boyfriend to get married in a week. Tristan and she have to suvive until they are rescued. The two try and stay alive and by doing that, become close, but Tristan has a secret he doesn't want Amiee to find out. They have take care of each other and run into some very bad things along the way. I had to keep reading to find out what happened next.

Aimee is a successful lawyer. She is engaged to Chris, her childhood friend and on her way to Brazil for the preparations of her wedding day. Tristan is Chris' pilot and is flying Aimee to her wedding destination on the private jet. Everything is well planned and looking perfect but the plane crashes in the middle of the Amazon rainforests. Tristan and Aimee have lost all forms of communication and have barely managed to salvage some much needed meagre provisions from the damaged jet. They now have to plan how to stay alive. Not an easy feat when there is danger everywhere they turn but they have to find a way to find food and water. Identifying non poisonous sustainance is quite a challenge. Tristan is ex army and some of his skills come in handy. Aimee has to adapt and make do with whatever is available. They work as a team but it feels like they are forever fighting a losing battle. They become good friends which soon leads to something more. Neither of them can deny how they feel. Guilt sets in. Can they fight this undeniable attraction? How long will it take for them to be rescued? Will they ever get back to civilisation? This is a heartwrenching and beautiful story. The emotions are very strongly projected. Tristan is strong, trustworthy and loving even if he has no hope of ever being happy after what he has been through in the past. Aimee is sensible, adaptable and empathic. She is the bringer of hope! Putting this book down proved to be difficult. It's full of hardship. There is despair. There are happy and passionate moments. I would recommend this book to other readers but be warned, tissues might be required.

Wonderful read. I feel that maybe the synopsis doesn't draw most readers in as much as others but this book delivers on everything a romance reader loves! Aimee and Tristan's story is the kind that makes you believe it is real. You can feel their emotions and their inevitable deep love for each other. I was surprised at how they kept their spirits up in spite of their struggle to survive. Normally I'm an angst lover complete with the requisite villainous character, but this book had none of that just good people in an unfortunate situation. This is the kind of book you remember long after you've read it because it was so good and real. The writing style was amazing like how romance novels used to be before we got all these copycat trilogy writers with no real style. This is an original novel, not cheap with no depth like you would find in a certain VERY popular trilogy. No cheesy lip biting or awkwardness here. If your on the fence, I say just buy it and read it you won't regret it.

OMG. What an amazing story! Aimee is flying on her fiancee's private jet to Brazil where they are going to be married in one week. She is the only passenger on the plane with the pilot, Tristan, when their engine malfunctioned and they crash landed in the rainforest. This riveting story tells us what they did to survive while waiting to be rescued. I absolutely love the characters in this novel. Even though Tristan and Aimee were in a very unusual situation the characters were real and believable. Tristan had been in the military which was lucky for them since he had learned extensive survival training there. Even though Aimee had grown up with money she was a strong, determined woman who did her fair share of the work in their makeshift home. It is obvious that the author researched the rainforest extensively as well as survival in such an environment since every aspect of their adventure is fully developed in a manner that you can’t help but picture. On top of that, the love story within the story was genuine and heartfelt. I am so glad to have won this wonderful story in a giveaway.

Withering Hope by Layla Hagen was full of suspenseful adventure, survival, a romance packed with anticipation, and two characters I completely fell for the more I read. It made you feel for these characters. Through it all, I felt like I was lost in the Rainforest right along with Tristan and Aimee, and to be honest, I want to go back. The ARC of Withering Hope by Layla Haygen was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is beautiful love story and at times one might need tissues. The story between Tristian and Amiee in intense. I love how they help each other talk about their pasts and how over time they grow close. I'm not going to say anymore because I don't want to spoil it for other readers who may want to read this book. I do not like to be reading an interview about a book that I am interested in reading and the writer of the interview basically tells the whole story of the book. Why read the book then? I try not to do that. I will say that it does take place in the rainforest in the Amazon. Just enjoy the book. Very good read!
