About the Author

Ann Lister is a native New Englander currently living in Florida with her husband. She has pulled details from her years living in the New England area and uses many local settings and landmarks in her novels.

After graduating art school, marrying, and raising two daughters, she established her own video production company. Her nearly two decades working in video production included work within the music industry and won her a coveted Telly Award. Her 'behind-the-scenes' exposure to the music world and her love of rock music is the inspiration for her erotic rock star romances.

Her rock star romance, "Fall For Me", Book One in The Rock Gods series, was a Finalist in the 2013 Rainbow Award and Book Three, Make You Mine, established her as an Amazon #1 Bestselling Author. Her stories focus on what it truly means to love; love unconditionally, love without restrictions or labels, love without fear or judgment - to just simply love.

Reviewed by Sarah L. Book provided by the author for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book Without a Doubt by Ann Lister starts off with Callie having a bad case of writer’s block. Her editor “encourages” her to go on a winter retreat to Martha’s Vineyard to get through this rough patch and get back on track. Callie does not plan on meeting someone like Jackson Brody, a local contractor, who does his best to try to swipe her off her feet. Since Callie initially sees Jackson kissing another woman she is very hesitant about getting involved but takes the plunge and agrees to go slowly. The ex-wife and another woman who wants to be in a relationship with Jackson cause a lot of headache and hardships for Callie and Jackson. Ms. Lister does a great job drawing the reader into the lives and feelings of both characters. We experience firsthand the emotions each of them feel throughout. The reader can expect to experience a wide range of emotions as well. I laughed as well as cried and in a couple spots I wanted to throw the book across the room. Without trying to give any spoilers, there was an issue later on the book that I felt went on a bit too long. Being the optimist that I am, I would have loved for it to have been resolved a lot sooner than it really was. Although I suppose this gives it a realistic feel and lends credibility to the story as real life definitely isn’t easy. This is the 2nd book of Ms. Lister’s that I have read and she is definitely going on my watch list. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
