Witness of a Broken Heart: (See Book 2) Web of Hearts and Souls #5 by Jamie Magee

I'd awoken a beast.
Legions of dark angels now knew I existed.
They're coming for me. Threatening all that I love. My father told me the answers are everywhere, if only I could see them...

I saw and felt nothing beyond the unbending will to survive. They'd all bow before I was done. Swear.
I'm still hunting Bianca. Silas still looms protectively. Draven's tested. These are demons I know. The ones I don't know are here now, our time to leave this dimension came long before I was ever really ready. I see them. I hear them. I call out to them. I never had a problem with the dead. When I understood the darkness was feeding on them, I had a problem.
Standing up for the wretched cost me everything.

My story begins now.

We all fell hard for Twilight. We lost ourselves in the teen angst of Vampire Diaries, Fallen, and Hush, Hush. We found courage in the pages of Hunger Games, Divergent, and the Maze Runner. Our imagination was on fire inside of Mortal Instruments, Throne of Glass, and The Red Queen. We fell back into our childhoods with the likes of Cinder. And now we have the compelling, enigmatic SEE series combining with series such as INSIGHT, RIVULET & EDGE to create THE WEB OF HEARTS & SOULS.

Fans of contemporary and paranormal fantasy you cannot go wrong! Looking for ghosts? Angels? Demons & Devils? Witches? Gods? How about action and adventure wrapped around the romance of soul mates? Do you like to dive into the mystics? Science Fiction elements found in our own realm? Past lives or the zodiac? Ancient and modern civilizations? Spirituality? A setting that is contemporary, urban, and otherworldly? How do you feel about psychics? What about gothic elements? All of this and so much more is wrapped in this long reaching teen series. See is also as a thread in the Web of Hearts and Souls Series, where several series intertwine to offer a mind-bending experience for the reader. If you're looking for originality and one hell of a deal this book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

About the Author

Jamie Magee has always believed that each of us have a defining gift that sets us apart from the rest of the world, she has always envied those who have known from their first breath what their gift was. Not knowing hers, she began a career in the fast paced world of business. Raising a young family, and competing to rise higher in that field would drive some to the point of insanity, but she always found a moment of escape in a passing daydream. Her imagination would take her to places she'd never been, introduce her to people she's never known. Insight, her debuting novel, is a result of that powerful imagination. Today, she is grateful that not knowing what defined her, led her on a path of discovery that would always be a part of her.

Holy Crap! So much excitement, danger, anxiety - it seemed like I just flew through this book! Draven is just as yummy as ever and I am amazed at how patient and well-grounded he can be, no matter much crap he has to deal with! And Charlie, I can't believe she hasn't lost her mind completely! It was horrible not having her memories, but now she's beginning to realize things are even more complicated when she remembers. Their friends and family are so supportive and helpful, even though some of them may have a few secrets of their own. I just can't get enough of this series!!

Witness, a companion novel to SEE by Jamie Magee, is just as addicting as the first novel. Charlie is still battling with her adversaries, Bianca and London, and now the fight is darker and more dangerous. The new target is Charlie's beau Draven. There's just something about Witness that pulls readers in and keeps them entertained. New characters, new attitudes and new revelations, there's much to look forward to. The most appealing aspect is that Witness picks up right where SEE ended. The foreshadowing of events in the novel before was brilliant and there's no way to miss the connections in Witness. The characters all seem a little bit more aggressive. It's a pleasant change from some books published where the characters are all so nice to each other, never actually saying what needs to be said. Magee has made her characters so believable as teens in reality. The story is consistent, but almost impossible to figure out. The world built is so different that there's not much to compare the story to. Readers may love not being able to predict the future of this story, but it's a little daunting at the same time. Reading Witness is the right move for lovers of paranormal and intriguing mysteries! Also posted on Lovey Dovey Books
