This deck has beautiful art. It is really fun, especially for those of us who are enthralled by a certain boy wizard and his world. The author poses the major arcana as teachers at a school of magic: this links them to a larger story that I already know and have lots of memories and associations to, which makes them more fun, more instantly meaningful, and easier to remember. Plus, I think this deck remains pretty true to the Rider-Waite deck and is a respectable working tarot, even while being fun. The pips and court cards also have good stories.

I love this tarot set. I first bought the book that goes along with in and while reading through it, I was happy to see there was a corresponding deck and I was hooked. There is so much simple information that's easy to read, understand and memorize. The tarot deck is beautifully illustrated and wonderfully symbolic. Everything pictured had a meaning that's easily understood at a glance. If they ever make a collector's set, I would be the first in line.
