The Talon Pack continues with the daughter of a traitor, the man who can never be her lover, and another man she should never want…her enemy.

Charlotte Jamenson was born to the Pack that threatened the world, but grew up in the one that saved it. She’s spent her entire life repenting for lies and faults that were never hers to bear. When she falls for her best friend, Bram Devlin, she thinks she’s finally found forgiveness for the blood in her veins; only a mating bond never came.

Bram knows there’s something missing within his mating with Charlotte, but there’s nothing he can do about it. Their Pack is in danger, and it’s his duty to protect their Alpha—even if it means sacrificing his life. When he’s put in charge of protecting a new member of the Talon Pack, he realizes he and Charlotte may just have a chance at something more than heartache.

Shane Bruins sacrificed his life and his future to protect the Packs from the men he worked for. Now, thanks to circumstances beyond his control, he’s not quite who he was before, and his life is on the line yet again. Only this time, he isn’t alone, and the two wolves in his path might be the only things that can calm the beast inside.

The war isn’t coming, it’s here, and the Talon Pack will have to rely on three souls who know they aren’t what each other wants—but exactly what they need—to win.

Charlotte and Bram have know they’re mates, but the bond never clicked for them. Enter Shane, soldier for the enemy until he realizes the horror of the man he’s been working for. Helping Ryder escape causes a world of hurt on Shane and eventually brings him into the Talon pack. The end result worked itself out, but the journey wasn’t without its share of hiccups. I would have liked to have had more of Shane’s POV, although Charlotte and Bram’s covered things well enough. Their relationship was relatively easy for them to come to terms with and the sexy scenes sizzled. It’s will be interesting to see what happens to the packs after their semi-anticlimactic battle with the general.

This book is awesome! I've loved Charlotte and thought there was so much more to her ever since Ellie & Maddox found her. Her men are amazing - patient and protective. I loved taking this journey with them! I applaud Carried Ann Ryan. Triads are tricky to pull off. I love all of Ryan's as she makes sure its about all 3 individuals involved and not just about one of the people. Amazing storyteller!

I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy of this book. I really enjoyed the fast paced story. Carrie Ann Ryan sure knows how to grab your attention and keep it in the story. If I was able to and life didn’t get in the way I would have read this story all in one go. I cannot wait now for the next story in the series to come out.

Carrie Ann Ryan continues to do a spectacular job with the Talon series. WOLF BETRAYED takes place following book three, MATED IN MIST. After helping the heir to the Talon Pack, Ryder Brentwood and his mate Leah Helm, human Shane Bruins is captured by General Keith Montag, who conducts experiments on him. Shane escapes near death and makes his way to the Talon pack, where they discover that Montag tried to change Shane into a wolf. Charlotte Jamenson and Bram Devlin of the Redwood Pack are the only two that can help sooth Shane’s wolf. Meanwhile, both packs are on the edge due to impending war. I loved hearing Charlotte and Bram’s story. It broke my heart how they were both so tormented that their bond did not work in the previous book. All three of the main characters have a lot to process. Charlotte struggles with her past when she was a member of the Central Pack. She is not really certain where she belongs. Bram has been hiding his true strength. Shane’s entire life has changed. He needs to learn how to be a wolf. All three are dominant. They have great chemistry. They help balance each other, making them stronger as a unit. I love the three of them together. I enjoyed the plot. It was fast-moving and thrilling. General Montag is a dangerous adversary. The man is demented and truly believes he is a savior. He does not care how many people he kills. The story had interesting twists and complications. Carrie Ann Ryan once again amazes me. She does an astounding job of growing the plot and characters that started with the Redwood Series. I’m looking forward to Parker’s, Brandon’s, and Avery’s story next. I’m curious how Avery is going to be introduced to the packs. Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

Wolf Betrayed is Book 4 of the Talon Pack series by Carrie Ann Ryan. While I wouldn't say that you need to read the earlier stories in order to read this one, each story does build upon the other so it would be helpful and they are great books anyway so why not! Great character development and an intriguing edge of your seat story line make this is another great addition to the Talon Pack series. Charlotte and Bram had a failed attempt at mating not realizing they needed the newly engineered Shane to make their bond complete. How lucky is Charlotte! She gets not just one but two hot mates. In the earlier stories and even initially in this one, Charlotte has a "poor me" attitude. Feeling she was unworthy of love and a mate because of her heritage. I admit, I haven't read the Redwood series yet and perhaps those could shed more light for me, but I'm confused as to why Charlotte has such feelings of inadequacy. From what I do know, none of what happened in the past was her fault. She was as much of a victim as everyone else. Regardless, it was great to watch her finally grow into a strong, determined and confident young woman. Every book that Ms. Ryan cranks out just gets better and better. I can't wait to read what else she has in store for us.

Sometimes you just have to get over yourself. That was my feelings about Charlotte Jamenson. For a strong wolf she was boohooing because of her past and the fact that the mate bond hadn’t happened with Bram, the wolf she just knew was her mate. Sometimes you just have to breathe and let it be. When Charlotte and Bram meet the newest addition to the Talon pack it becomes very clear why the mate bond didn’t happen. It was waiting for Shane, their third. Now if he can only live long enough to make it happen. They all have a lot to overcome but they have a lot of love to make it worth the battle. Another fantastic addition to the Talon Pack by Carrie Ann Ryan.
