I started in late on this series, but after reading this one I have to start at the beginning! The Chanku family have a powerful allure and the storyline was intense. Wolf Tales 9 is definitely an escapism treat!

The Chanku have come from around the country to Montana for a gala as Tia is giving birth to twins. The labor is hard and her lifemate Luc upset. So each decides to tell an exploit before they understood they were shapeshifters; an event that changed them.
They talk through the night and time passes in good company. However, when Tia gives birth to the twins, one is dying. The Chanku come together sending waves of sexual energy to save the life of the newborn.
The latest Wolf Tale thriller is more an extended family drama than the usual erotic romantic suspense although there are plenty of sexual encounters of seemingly every kind. The story line is fast-paced from the onset, but lacks the nasty external villains that assault the Chanka in their several sanctuaries. Instead the issue focuses on saving the baby, which makes for an intriguing crisis with an even more fascinating solution. Readers will appreciate this strong but different entry that also contains a scorecard to assist on who belongs to whom.

I enjoyed this book tremendously as I had missed some previous books. I immediately went out and purchased all the other Wolf Tales that I had not read. Kate Douglas writes with such feelings that it allows for a lot of visualization. I love the way all of the characters love each other. I highly recommend this book and all of her Wolf Tales if you don't mind steamy sex. I would also recommend reading the books in order. It's easiest to order online from B&N.

Excellent book for the overview of characters since the first book in the series....some may not enjoy not having a lot of new material in this book. I enjoyed the walk down memory lane of the previous books characters. The actual story line is brief yet #9 was a journey into the past. As usual the stories are "hot" and the sexual verbato sings throughout the book.If you are one who is waiting for a plot you can dig your teeth into as has been the history of the series, this book will not give you that same edge as in the past books. BUT once again it will be a big seller for all the fans of Kate. Looking forward to #10...what can be left to be said.
