Its not that i didnt like this book, its just too short. I hate trying to pick out books these days not knowing if its another short book that doesnt let the characters and plot develope slowly. In a full length novel you can get lost in the book and become invested in the characters and how their relationship will unfold. This kind of book just pushes fast forward and everything takes off right from the first page, thats ok i guess if you want to begin and finish the book quickly, i would compare it to a weekly one hour show versus a mini series or movie, i just prefer a full length book.

3.5 Stars This is book one in the super sexy Breed MC series and it features Keelie Sue Berard and Jace Jones. First of all this is a shifter MC story. There are no hearts and flowers here. There are no words of undying love. It's primal and urgent. Jace kind of takes what he wants as Keelie catches up. Jace always had a soft spot for her. I didn't like Keelie's hard attitude. The story would have been great had Keelie softened towards him at some point. This wasn't a bad story but some MC romance books tend to be a little more rough around the edges than my typical preference. There may not have been great professions of love but it was definitely SEXY!

In Wolf's Heart, Keelie Sue is the unfortunate daughter of a really lousy wolf shifter father, Big Red, the Alpha who runs the Breed Motorcycle Club. The club is involved in all sorts of nastiness, including the illegal gun and drug trade, and a side of human trafficking. He's a physically abusive father, and sees Keelie's value only as a pawn in making his club more powerful. To that end, he has a plan - to mate Keelie to a new shifter in his pack, one Jace Jones. Jace is actually there undercover for his brother Cruz, a wolf shifter who happens to be a sheriff and who wants the lowdown on what's happening with the Breed MC from the inside. Jace is a powerful alpha in his own right, and Big Red has plans to keep him as second in command. Mating him to his daughter will achieve that. But Jace's loyalty is torn between his own shifter pack and setting things right with the Breed MC - not to mention, his attraction to Keelie and his desire to make things better for her. Can he get everything he wants? From the start this is an action packed story, full of heat and violence. Poor Keelie has really had it bad, having already been mated once against her will to a wolf who ended up dead, and now her father is up to his old tricks again, mating her off to the first man who can catch her at a nasty biker ball - and Jace is the one to catch her. It's not long before he has a chance to clean things up for good -get rid of the drugs and guns, and more importantly, to make sure that any female at the clubhouse is there willingly. His relationship with Keelie is a fiery one, as she's finally found the means to stand up for herself, though her submissive beta wolf is quite happy to roll over for Jace. The scenes between them are super sexy, but it's also clear that Jace wants to protect and care for Keelie, even as he's not willing to give up his man (err.. wolf) card for her. He's a dominant alpha male, and it shows in everything he does. I loved the action and the romance, and the whole plot rolls together very nicely. At the end of the story, there's some serious action that gives a great lead in for the next story. These guys are serious badass alpha males, but the good ones know how to please their women and Keelie Sue and Jace end up being a perfect match. It was an entertaining story, and I'm definitely planning to continue the series.

Hot MC / shifter story, but it’s not a ménage like the cover would lead you to believe. MC stories are not my favorite but I like books by Anne Marsh, and I’ve read the other two Bayou Wolves books, so I wanted to read this one. Although this is the third book in the series it stands alone just fine. You might enjoy it a bit more if you have the history from books one and two, though. Jace has to decide whether to challenge the current alpha of the Breeds pack and take over. The pack certainly needs cleaned up and Jace knows he can challenge and beat the current alpha. Keelie is the alpha’s daughter and he is one mean S-O-B. Keelie has tried to leave the pack several times but her father always sends someone after her and then beats her; she knows if she tries to leave again he’ll kill her. Keelie is attracted to Jace but she is so done with being ordered around and hurt. She doesn’t really trust Jace and that’s a big problem for him. Jace wants her for his mate but he comes on a bit strong and that turns Keelie off. He finally realizes that he might have to let her go in order for her to trust him. This story is hot and contains lots of sex and strong language. There are also a few scenes that some people might find objectionable (questionable consent to sex). I felt that this one was a bit on the crude side for me, especially compared to the other two stories. I think that just might be because it’s an MC story. I’ve started to read one or two other MC stories in the past and not finished them because the crudeness just doesn’t appeal to me. I have no objection to the strong language, or sex, it’s more the thoughts and actions of some of the characters that bother me. But, if you like hot werewolves and MC stories this one should be right up your alley. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

This is my first Bayou Wolves story, but I enjoyed that it can be read without reading previous books to understand the story. The book is hard hitting, raw and lets you know from the beginning it is not a romance for people looking for sweet. Although the language and sex is rough, it would be what I would expect it to be when talking about two rival MC biker wolf shifter clans. No reason to go into the story as the intro by the author gives you enough. I would recommend this one and look forward to reading more of this series. I was gifted a copy of this book by NetGalley and asked to give an honest review.

Plenty of drama, suspense and a whole lot of steam. To become the alpha of The Breed pack and motorcycle club, Jace needs to mate with the former alpha’s daughter. Keelie just wants to be away from the pack and have her own life. The story had me hooked from beginning to end. Loved it!
