Dr. Louis Blake Hathorn, a native of Noxapater, Mississippi, a former educator, and community leader, was an award-winning author; his textbook Social Justice and Christianity covers 500 years of Christian social reform and resistance. He was the Sheppard of Sweet Home M.B. Church in Lexington, Mississippi for over four decades. He was also the pastor of Mt. Sinai M.B. Church in Louisville, Mississippi.
