A collection of birth stories written from the perspective of a midwife. These stories are filled with joy, humor, a few tense moments and an honest look at the wide range of diversity that exists within natural childbirth. The stories are purposefully chosen to show where variations occur, surprises happen and where birth is sometimes difficult. In sharing these stories, readers can glimpse what the natural instinctual process of birth really looks like. We, as a culture, need to reclaim the knowledge that birth is a normal process. Women are strong, powerful and made to give birth.
