Overview

Set in a quintessentially English village where life is gentle and time travels slowly, the community is suddenly shaken by the news that a horrific plane crash has taken the lives of 12 of their men.
The sheer tragedy of their loss throws the village of Monmaw into the limelight and the widows into turmoil, some coping better than others, but all feeling isolated in their own grief.
The book takes you on a journey through their first year, as the 12 widows cope with their loss, but also the realisation that they have become prosperous, via their inherited wealth.

As the old saying goes Money can't buy you happiness. But, it can buy you the odd glass of wine, a few raucous days outs and get you some unwanted attention along the way!

Follow the widows as they find love in unexpected places, form an unshakeable bond and make decisions that dramatically change their lives forever.
Join us on an emotional rollercoaster that will find you laughing one minute and sobbing the next.

About the Author

Father and Daughter realised that their lives were moving too fast to enjoy each other's company and that they were sharing very little. They decided on a bonding exercise, which was to write this book together.
Co- authors Terry McGovern and Jodie Hall have spent their commutes into London typing furiously and subsequent hours enjoying discussions around the family dinner table whilst infectiously dragging other family members along for the ride.
During those 4 years, Terry who has been happily married to his wife Erica for 40 years, continued to run his own successful IT Company. Whilst Jodie, who aims to be happily married for 40 years, gave birth to two cheeky little boys whom now affectionately refer to her father as "Little Grandad."
Today the clan that includes their Son Daniel and his family, all live in the Home Counties, and are now much closer together.
