About the Author

Kenneth Waterman was born in Ottawa, Canada, in 1962. He was educated at the private Priory School, Kingston, Jamaica; Hillcrest High School; and Carleton University, Ottawa. In 1987, he secured his first sales position as a commodity broker with Midland Walwyn. He wrote a weekly column on the commodities market for the Ottawa Sun from 1988–1990. He moved to Glasgow, Scotland, in 1995, where he built his first coffee company. The Woody Buchman series is based on his accounts as a broker, battling addiction, his involvement with a Glasgow East End gang, then building his second coffee company into the largest privately owned discount coffee company in the UK.
