Words Unspoken is a story of love, heartbreak, loss, healing and becoming, carefully curated in the form of free-verse poems, quotes and short-prose; it was written to speak to our hearts, our minds and our souls about the immense capacity humans have for resilience and survival, for becoming and flourishing after having been broken to pieces.

The book is aimed at empowering you to claim your voice back after feeling shattered; it is about claiming your power back and starting to believe in yourself again; it is about changing the narrative of your life and who you see yourself as capable of becoming.

About the Author

Madalina is a writer, poet, mother, wife, and an aspiring psychologist. Madalina has always been a lover of books, words and creative expression. Originally from Romania, Madalina has published extensively in Romanian, but this is her first publication in English; she credits writing with having helped her get through some of the hardest times of her life.

Madalina is currently working as a therapist trainee in Northern California while finishing a Master in Counseling Psychology and preparing to apply to Doctoral Programs upon graduation. She finds joy in working with children (as she appreciates their genuineness and lack of layers), as well as working with couples (as she has always been intrigued by the dynamics that make some couple break apart and others thrive).

When she is not writing, doing therapy or going to school, Madalina is busy researching ways to advocate for mental health and to eliminate the stigma that is often associated with mental illness. She enjoys writing about love, heartbreak, grief, healing, self-compassion, self-acceptance and self-care.

This book came on my birthday , and what a gift it has been . I was so captivated , that I found myself reading pieces over and over to savour their beauty. And as soon as I was finished reading it, I began again the next day. Each piece is heart opening, eye opening, and soul resonating . Madalina pours herself into this collection of poetry, and you can feel her energy radiating off the pages. When reading this book I was flooded with nostalgia from my own first loves, heartbreaks , and self discovery. I was enlightened with new wells within myself I hadn’t thought to explore until I had this though provaoking masterpiece in my hands. The entire experience of this book; from its carefully crafted layout, it’s stynning art, and it’s abulity to knock upon your heart , is one I would highly recommend . ‘Words Unspoken’ is a masterpiece, that will tune your heart strings and inspire you to look deeper into your own love, loss, and healing. This book is empowering , inspirational , and a must read.

Madalina has way of speaking directly to heart. She takes the feelings we’ve all felt and turns them into something profound. She brings all those emotions that simmer right beneath the surface, and she makes you acknowledge them. In Words Unspoken, she captures the essence of humanity - the turmoil, the loss, the love. She weaves thoughts into poetry that stir the soul. I must give praise for her ability to capture her audience from the beginning. On page 8, she reaches out and grabs us, admonishing us for staying silent when our hearts demand release. The rest of the book is divided into 4 sections. In The Love, Page 56 captivated me with beautiful details. In The Hurt, Page 69 ripped its way straight to my core. In The Healing, she nurtures the soul. In The Lessons, especially Page 193, she had be nodding along, because I had to learn those lessons too. This book packs a punch, both with its powerful words and the gorgeous artwork included. Madalina speaks with both emotion and authority, inviting the reader to look deep within themselves while also showing the aches she has dealt with personally. And, she does it both articulately and beautifully. I look forward to reading more by her.

I was so excited upon receiving my copy of “Words Unspoken”! I had finally ordered it after much time stalking it on social media. And to my surprise it was larger than expected. For a poetry fanatic, this is a big deal. On a serious note, I hadn’t felt inspired in a long while. ‘Words Unspoken’ uplifted and unfolded many different layers within myself. Madalina’s words of wisdom throughout her book had me in awe. From start to finish, I fell in love with all that was in between. I thoroughly enjoyed the beginnings of every section where she conveyed her wisdom on topics of love, pain and healing. I see myself going back to them often. And I always find it memorizing when authors are able to captivate their readers with poems that are only a few lines longs. Within the smaller poems, I found lessons and each one was a true gift. She takes you through multiple emotions and you feel every wave so immensely. Having gone down the road to healing and personal growth, I agreed and connected with Madalina’s mind set. I am grateful for this creation as it will now be my go to poetry book in my personal library. The gorgeous cover is a good enough reason to purchase! “When life tries you again, learn to sing yourself to sleep with self-healing hymns that remind you of the sovereign that resides inside.” (page 185)
