About the Author
Christopher Mears is the Section Manager for the Asset Management Processes & Technologies Section of Aerospace Testing Alliance at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). As such, he leads the team responsible for the continued development, analysis, and improvement of the operations and maintenance program, which includes development of optimized asset management strategies, Condition-Based Maintenance program, and other support efforts for the Plant Assets Operations and Maintenance Department. Christopher has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He has been trained in Lean and Six Sigma, is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), and was the CMRP Rising Leader award winner in 2013.He has served various academic and professional organizations, including the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionalsas part of its Best Practices and Conference Committees and as Secretary/Historian for the Middle TN SMRP Chapter since 2009.
