About the Author

William Barker (1978 - ) was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey and currently resides in Hawthorne, New Jersey. Writing since adolescence, he fell in love with poetry only a decade ago after a lifetime of misunderstanding and judging it wrongly. He has independently produced one full-length book of poetry entitled: Shards (poems 2007-2010) and two chapbooks: The Writing Must Leap Upon You Like a Wild Beast (2012) and Sleeping Children Are Still Flying (2015). Recently, his poetry appeared in Anthology's by Silver Birch Press (2013) and Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing (2014). Workhorse is Mr. Barker's second full-length book of poetry. He is also currently working on a trilogy of novels, with several other poetry projects forthcoming as well.
