Meet the Author

J.A. Rogers was an anthropologist and historian whose pioneering work in Black Studies was little appreciated during his lifetime. Among his many books are Superman to Man and Sex and Race. World's Great Men of Color was completed in 1947 but was published only in a small private edition. This edition has been brought up to date with an introduction, commentaries, and bibliographical notes by John Henrik Clarke, editor of Malcolm X: The Man and His Times and Harlem, U.S.A.

This is an outstanding body of literature and research. J.A. Rogers truly devoted his life to the history of all people of african origin. his work is of monumental importance and should be read by those wanting to know the role of africans and hidden african personalities in world history.

Rogers is a remarkable man, he devoted his life searching for the role of african people in world history. he has exposed many known facts about various african kingdoms, civilizations, slave revolts, black inventors and outstanding black giants in world history. his work and legacy shall continue to live on.
