It is less than 200 pages. I enjoyed the plot but this was expensive.

Worth the Risk, written by Anne Lange, is a hot steamy romance. This is the first book that I read by this author and am already looking forward for her next one. This is the perfect novella that you can read in a couple of hours, it's a real page turner and as soon as I started to read it, I could not put it down. This is a great erotic romance starring two lead characters who will get a second chance in love. I loved Molly and Tanner! Their story began, ten years ago, when they had been college sweethearts but....suddenly Molly broke up without any reason or explanation. Now, ten years have passed, they meet again and the sparks are still very hot around them. Beautiful chemistry between Ms. Lange's characters and sexual intensity that keeps you reading. Lots of high emotions! I love how she finished their story. If you love a well written erotic romance, then I suggest you go and get it, you won't be disappointed.

Anne Lange has crafted a sweet reunion story. I felt more connected to Molly than Tanner, but they had great sexual tension from the very beginning. The time jumping from present to ten years ago was a little jarring at first, I felt like it might have been the author's way of getting to put in a lot of backstory without it sounding like backstory. I really would have rather had more present day before the jump. The dynamic between the group of friends was great and I could totally see myself hanging out with these people (even though you would NEVER catch me in a tent). I'm trying not to spoil....but Molly's inner struggle was the main focus of the story and as a woman who has struggled with fertility, I really connected with her inner demons. I'm not sure someone who hasn't gone through something similar would connect the same way though. Now for the pink parts... The romance in this story was hot and passionate! The scenes between Molly and Tanner were well written and will leave you looking for a fan or a tall glass of ice tea. Great job. I was very pleased with the ending. Thank you Ms. Lange for the opportunity to read your work. I recommend it to anyone looking for a contemporary heartfelt and tender reunion romance.

The first time around things were great. Until something went wrong in the relationship that caused Molly to pull away and call it quits. Heartbroken Tanner couldn't deal with even being in the same area so he just up and disappeared. Until now when both Molly and Tanner end up one a camping trip together with friends. It goes back and forth with what happened then and what's going on now flawlessly and gives you a deeper understanding of what this couple has gone through and is currently going through. It flowed nicely and has a couple spicy to hot scenes that are well placed. A second chance type of love story! Who doesn't enjoy a second chance. Molly went through a lot during the last half of their final college year. Unfortunately she kept it mostly to herself and it caused her the love of her life. I can understand why she does what she does. But what a hard secrete to keep and deal with! Tanner visiting family accidentally runs into a old friend and talks him into going on the annual camping trip with their group of friends that Tanner has been avoiding for years. Everyone accepts his disappearance and doesn't seem to give him grief about it. I think that small part is the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars as it seemed odd to me. Everyone thought he broke up with Molly and vanished and they welcome him back with open arms? However, other then that very small bit it was a a great book. I really feel for Tanner because of how Molly treated him in the past. I'm glad he came around and decided to get answers and closure on that part of their lives. This book is definitely worth reading. It's got a certain feeling to it that is hard to find words to describe. Even as a sadness lays below their story they manage to muddle through life until they come back together to figure things out for themselves and for each other.

Worth the Risk is a contemporary second chance romance set in Canada. Anne Lange does a fantastic job with her imagery and she has a descriptive ability that allows you to feel like you are in Molly's place.  The story takes us through the early relationship between Tanner and Molly, the break up and this chance to be together again when they go on a camping trip with friends. Molly has to have a real soul search to see if she can bring herself to explain her actions from 10 years ago that left both of them sad and missing the other.  A quick read, some steamy camping/beach sex as well as a memorable car scene. This was an enjoyable read that wrapped the whole story and didn't make you feel like part of it was missing.  I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sexy and sweet rolled into one. Sometimes second chances are worth the risk. If you've read the blurb, you have a good idea of what this story is all about, so I'm going to jump right into my review. I'm a sucker for second chance love stories. There's something romantic about "the one that got away". Molly and Tanner's past and present alternate throughout the story to help us get acquainted with them, their love and their heartache. The beginning of the end came around for them shortly before graduating from university, so they were young and made understandable mistakes. The story begins ten years after those events, and they've matured, but Molly, more than anyone, has to work on her communication skills. Tanner is back and he's finally ready to get some answers. Tanner was pretty much flawless, in my opinion. Not just because he was the one who seemingly got the short end of the stick way back when, but I loved his new found confidence to go after what he'd always wanted. He pushed, but not too hard. He comforted when it was necessary, and after his initial anger faded, he showed compassion and understanding. Molly ... oh, Molly. I can't imagine what it must have felt like to have gone through what she did. Given her age and the circumstances, I can almost believe why she did what she did. There was a point when I wanted to shake her, hard! That being said, I may not have agreed with her, but I understood her and warmed up to her eventually. The story was well paced, and the flow was smooth enough to follow without getting pulled out of it. For a novella there were quite a few sex scenes, but all of them were scorching hot! Thunder storm - enough said. The first scene was a little unexpected, but since those two never stopped loving each other, even after ten years, I got it - feelings, opportunity, desire all led to "deed now, talk later". I loved the ending in the form of an epilogue. It was perfect for them, and Tanner became more swoon-worthy in my eyes. If you love second chances, toe-curling moments, and happy ending that put a perma-smile on your face, this story is for you. It's definitely Worth the Risk. I would definitely read more books by Anne Lange. Disclaimer: I received a review copy from the author via CBLS Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

Worth the Risk reunites former college lovers 10 years later in an emotional and steamy journey towards forgiveness after a secret tore apart their HEA that had just begun. Can old hurts be overcome or will uncertainties about the future continue to hold them back? In the capable hands of Anne Lange you get to experience Tanner and Molly's pain as you root for them to be reunited in an immensely sweet and satisfying HEA. Tanner thought he and Molly would be together forever until she blindsided him by walking away without an explanation. Since then he's never forgotten her and is now given one weekend to get her back. Tanner is one sexy beast solely focused on Molly and uses his sexual prowess to start winning her back from the moment he arrives at the campsite. Tanner is understanding and supportive once Molly opens up about the past and I ached for the newfound hurts she's given him. No matter what pain he's going through though he still supports Molly. He's always put her first and if given the chance again he always will. While I adored everything about Tanner, I had some issues with Molly. First and foremost is her leaving Tanner all those years ago. With as much love as they had for each other, her doubting him cheapened what they had. She made everything all about her and cheated him out of a future he believed in wholeheartedly. By continuing to keep her secret (a secret that is pretty obvious early on), and by letting fear rule her, she continues to cheat Tanner out of his future. She's taken his free will away. She continues to cheat herself too by living by what-ifs. I know that she too is hurting but love is a healing balm and having his support all these years would've helped her heal faster. Keeping her secret seemed cowardly and letting unfounded fears rule her shows a woman of weak will. It's only when she's with Tanner that she shows an inner strength as she finally lets go of the guilt. As Molly and Tanner reunite through numerous steamy sexual encounters (and there are A LOT of encounters) we get brief glimpses of a fun and supportive group of friends and I was intrigued by all of them. It was easy to immerse myself in this story as each memeber of the group was easy to relate to. On a whole this story was sexy yet heartwarming, intensely emotional and painful with an epilogue that's uplifting and joyous. Ms. Lange has created a wonderful hero and sets us on an emotional roller coaster ride that ends in an immensely satisfying conclusion. So take a risk and read Worth the Risk.

Review of Worth the Risk by Anne Lange 5 stars A smoothly-written and well-executed erotic romance novel, “Worth the Risk” immediately captures the reader’s attention and emotions and maintains that grasp throughout until the ending, leaving the reader to relax in satisfaction with a “well done!” to the characters and the author. Some ten years earlier, Molly and Tanner, lovers for some years, were about to graduate from University and move on to their new, “adult,” lives. Tanner fully expected marriage and a lifetime with his beloved Molly—until she informed him “it’s over between us.” He disappears from her life, until a camping reunion of their friends ten years later. Now Tanner wants answers (so does the reader) as to why she suddenly sent him away.  This reader had considered a few possibilities, but the author skillfully avoids telegraphing the reasons, so that the reader will be just as surprised as Tanner. The working-out of the plot for Tanner and Molly, and for their friends, is realistic and possible. I predict romance aficionados are really going to love “Worth the Risk.” Rated 18+ for erotic content  I reviewed an e-book copy provided by the author in return for my fair and impartial review
