I was pleasantly surprised by this story, as it weaves in antiques, a woman seeking higher education and a future different than her family wants for her, a man from a far different background than a typical American boy, and a very smart dog!  A little mystery and some romance, and you just might fall in love with these characters!

I saw this book on Smashwords and knew it was a prequel to the author's coming series- A Merchant Street Mysteries Series.  I read the book and enjoyed it very much.  Can't wait for the series.  I don't think it's the author's fault if certain information doesn't get posted by different sites.  A book should be judged by its content and this was great.

Bad. Incomplete. No resolution. Just abruptly stopped; no ending. Even a prequel needs resolution. No reccomendation.

Somewhat engaging 150 page short story. However, this is the beginning of a series and this book ends abruptly and leaves the reader hanging. Can't really recommend this book.

as far as it goes. I sent a message to theauthor saying it was too incomplete, even for a novella. novella to me is another name for short story.

I think that when a book is everything the author intended, the book should get five stars. It was a short sweet story. You could see the end coming the whole time-of course they would fall in love! The exact details of the end did surprise me and I thought that Adele wouldn't have gotten a ride with Reggie, but would have had Kipp take her. It kept me reading to the end, something that a book hasn't done for me in a while. Now I'll have to read the rest of the series.

I was disappointed to get to the end and realize it was a cliffhanger, with the plot unresolved. Seems unfair not to tell this in the synopsis.

I really enjoyed this short, even if it was a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the full length novels. AD
