With the rollercoaster ride that was “Accidentally on Purpose”, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book. I mean, I was sure that Kyle is just a horrible person. He’s a drug addict, abuser, cheater…basically just an all-around bad guy. I found nothing particularly redeeming about him in the previous book, and I honestly didn’t think it would be possible to dedicate an entire book to his story and make the reader like him. I have to say, I grew attached to Kyle in this book, and his story is definitely one worth telling and reading. This is the continuation of Kyle’s Story from AOP. He’s still lamenting the loss of Emmy and the fallout from his actions in his life. He meets Lily, who has a shady past of her own. She’s tattooed, pierced, spunky and basically the polar opposite of everything Kyle has ever had. They start out hating each other, challenging each other and fighting the building chemistry between them. I really love the build up between these two in this book, as well as the transformation of the characters. You learn more about Kyle, which helps me to digest and forgive him for some of the things that happened in AOP. I mean, Kyle is still Kyle, but I have more sympathy for him now and see that he’s not, in fact, the worst man in the history of men (which was his previous title, according to me). To see him go from so NOT book boyfriend material to true boy boyfriend material is freakin’ magic to this reader. I’m not sure if you picked up on my intense dislike of Kyle from the previous book, but it was there. Now…I get it. I get him, and my opinion was transformed. I did really happen to like Lily. She has her own cross to bear, but she benefits from having Kyle in her life, which I think is wonderful. And she takes on the task of showing Kyle his worth. I thought as I was reading this that is what love stories are all about. Showing someone that they are worthy of not only giving love, but receiving it. Especially someone as damaged as Kyle. I think it takes a lot of guts to write for a character that you know literally your entire fan base hates. Kudos to you, L.D., because you took a chance and it worked. I can’t say that I *love* Kyle Sterling now, but I definitely *like* him, which is a huge leap. For that, and for telling his and Lily’s story so beautifully, I give 4.5 stars. Accidentally on Purpose is one of my favorite books and I had no clue this book was coming out. What a wonderful surprise. Once I found it, it jumped ahead all other TBR and I started reading immediately. And I was NOT disappointed at all. This story is Kyle's redemption and Ms. Davis nails it. I absolutely loved this book. Kyle does not do a 180 on the personality but knows and recognizes how toxic his relationship with Emmy was and tries to move forward. Lily is awesome! Perfect for Kyle. Emmy and Luke (swoon) also make an appearance. These two books are definite reads!!

Loved this book. Loved learning everything about Kyle. I knew their was more to that man than what was revealed in the first book. Great story, great chemistry between Kyle and Lily, and great sex. About to read book 3. Love this series.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I have to admit that I wasn't sure how I would like this story since I hadn't read the others in this series but I gave it a shot anyway. At first I was super confused because like I said I hadn't read the other books so to start out I was completely lost. I had a instant dislike for Kyle, but as the story unfolded I could see why he was the way he is and I empathized with him and really liked him. It was nice to see the story from the different points of view and once I figured everything out, I really enjoyed the story as a whole. I would recommend to others to maybe read the whole series in order so that you aren't lost. This book has a LOT of steamy sex so keep that in mind if you don't like that sort of read. Overall very good and I hope to read more books from this author. In this sequel to the New York Times Best Seller Accidentally On Purpose, Kyle Sterling must live with his devastating actions that caused him to lose the love of his life. Conditioned by a life of tribulation starting from when he was a small child, Kyle loses all hope that he can ever deserve happiness again. Lily's heart was broken first by a tragic loss and then by the two people she cared about most in the world. After tragedy strikes again, Lily's entire world is shaken and begins to crumble piece by piece. Lily hides her heartache and secrets behind a wall of colorful hair, piercings, tattoos and a style and attitude that is all her own. When Lily is forced to take a position at Sterling Corporation working closely with Kyle, the pair quickly clash. Kyle's dick-like behavior is at an ultimate high, but Lily challenges him at every turn. Despite his personal objections regarding Lily, her background, and her appearance, Kyle is unable to deny the building chemistry between him and the little irritating "barmaid." Despite his dick-like disposition and violent past, Lily fights to prove to Kyle that he is worthy – of being loved, and worthy of redemption, but Kyle is afraid of repeating history and he can’t let go of his past… ...And maybe a very important someone from his past isn’t ready to let go yet either...

This book blew me away! I loved the way we got to know the other side of the characters and fell in love with them all over again. If you read acc. On purpose, then you must read this. If you did not, start at the beginning and do it!
