Jesus came to bring abundant life. Yet the burdens of the world and the desires of sinful man often cloud the freedom and joy that are supposed to be hallmarks of a Christian life. This book disentangles the web of deceit that teaches us to be content with the mediocre, narrow-minded life we imagine for ourselves in favor of the exceptional existence God has for us. It is a journey that forces the Christian to examine his beliefs about truth, faith, God, freedom, the self, media, education, family, and more. The liberation from this bondage lies in selfless commitment to God expressed through personal growth in the daily life of the family. Sustaining an abundant life hinges on a lifelong learning process that tests everything and holds to what is good.
