About the Author

I am a reader and a lover of words. I am a blogger turned author. I am a mother of three, a wife and a dog person. I have always written, sometimes poetry, sometimes just to vent about failed relationships, however in parenthood I have found my voice to help keep my sanity. Words have flowed from me, to review and with the support of amazing friends in the Indie community I have decided to pursue my dream of writing! I love to write and read romance, because isn't that something we all yearn for? Whether it be flowers and hand holding or just the right tug on your hair. Isn't that what life is about? The human connection?

I loved this, the characters are sassy and fun, this is steamy with a lot of twists.

Two of my favorite types of men – a sexy Marine and bad ass bikers…what’s not to like? I loved Maura – a strong, young woman that can drink anyone under the table. Her dad’s biker brothers clearly loved her and were written close to the true thing. Corbin, the Marine, was sexy and could easily become anyone’s book boyfriend with all of the sweet things he says. And that’s all you’re getting – no spoilers here! I thought the story started too fast with Maura and Corbin getting together in less than 48 hours; it really wasn’t believable to me initially. The story grew on me quickly and had twists and turns I didn’t expect but really enjoyed. Overall, I enjoyed the story and read it quickly over two sittings.

Confession: I’ve read Wreck You a few times…and I love Abby’s debut novel!! Maura is a no-nonsense chick with a completely soft side and tons of vulnerabilities. Have you ever read a book and thought about the main character ‘Man, I wish that girl was my best friend because she’s so darn cool?’ Yeah, that was me when reading Maura’s story! Maura grew up in an MC – Motorcycle Club – and has been overprotected her whole life by the guys in the club and her dad, Mickey (who by the way is totally alpha hot and I would want him to slap me on the arse!). She’s ready to break out of the MC life and this is her story. She meets Corbin, a Marine, which allows for a perfect mix of military romance and MC romance. I will share that I’ve read a few MC romances, but they’re not my go-to. I loved the way Abby was able to blend the MC with the military aspect and create the perfect mix of both within the story. Corbin is one hot Marine with just enough of a dirty mouth to make a girl need a change of panties! He’s on leave and when he meets Maura, the sparks fly! It actually reminded me of how quickly I connected with my hubby who I met when on leave one weekend. I loved the way Corbin can be both strong and resilient while completely vulnerable with Maura. One of the things I truly love about Abby’s writing is the sassy, smart-talking personality of Maura. She’s facing quite a few changes in her life and handles them with grace and the occasional bottle of Jack. See why I like her??? There’s a ton of things that happen (no spoilers here!): misunderstandings, action, pain, heartbreak, love, friendship (go Jenny!!), and decisions that have a way of changing the course of people’s lives. I loved the journey that Maura takes as she learns more about who she is, what she wants in this life, and how to be strong enough to go for what she wants and needs. This is not your typical MC book, nor the typical military romance. It’s Maura’s journey mixed with all of those people surrounding her who impact her life in a way that helps her become the woman she is. Grab this book and dive in! Abby McCarthy writes a story filled with heart and passion and love that kept me turning pages long into the night! P.s. I’m waiting impatiently for Dawson’s story…because I know there’s some naughty, alpha sides to him that are yet to be explored!!

Wreck You by Abby McCarthy is the authors debut novel and is amazing. I read some comments that stated they didn't buy into the "insta-love" between Maura and Corbin but, honestly, that's part of why I love romance novels so much. They allow you toexperience the rare and possibly mythical part of love. They allow you to escape from everyday life and enjoy smething different. So that's my rose-colored-glasses view on "insta-love". Maura McCafferty is an Irishman's daughter and part of the Devil's Crusader's Motorcycle Club. A fiery independent woman who is floored the moment she lays eyes on Corbin Marx, a super-fine Marine on leave and staying next door to her home. The insta-love is electrifying and unbelievably hot! The situation gets very dangerous when club business drags Maura into it's path. Corbin's kick-@ss skills save her and earn him the grudging respect of the club members. Any more details might ruin the story but there is romance, drama, angst and a happy ever after. I want more from this author, like, yesterday. Loved it!

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well I was kept interested. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak. This is Maura and Corbin’s story. Maura can see the pain in Corbin. She wants him for herself. He is not part of the club and that makes it even better. When she is in danger she trusts Corbin to protect her. They go on the run but after Maura overhears a few conversions she wonders if she can trust Corbin. She goes home and cuts ties with him. But when Corbin needs her the most will she go to him? Will he even want her back? I loved these characters and also a few of the side characters. There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Was a good book. I loved the story line. Bikers daughter that was protected by the club. No one better touch her. She falls for an outsider. But things happen fast. Can she trust him. He disapoints her but he doesn't give up. Hard to believe this is this authors first book.

Looking for a book with a mighty fine, badass Marine? Your search is over. I confess that while I enjoy the show Sons of Anarchy, I haven't read a motorcycle club book before. This was a great introduction without being heavy. It wasn't a military book either. It's a story about Maura & Corbin. I won't give any spoilers. Enjoy reading it for yourself. You won't be sorry! :)

I love this debut novel from Abby. Maura and Corbin's story is filled with laughter and tears. Maura is one tough young woman. Abby combines two different world seamlessly. This novel left me wanting more. I can't wait for Daws and Aubrey's story!
