About the Author

Trisha Brummer, M.S.Ed., earned her B.A. in English and Psychology from Gonzaga University and her M.S.Ed. from National University. Trisha is currently teaching mathematics and science at Caroldale Learning Community in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She has also earned her Administrative Services Credential.

Sarah Kartchner Clark, Ph.D., has been writing and publishing curriculum for many years, with much of her work published in national and international literacy and teacher education journals. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and her Master's degree in Language, Reading, and Culture from the University of Arizona. She earned her Ph.D. from Utah State University where she is currently an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education. Dr. Clark's research focuses on literacy education, teacher preparation, support for novice teachers, and support for struggling readers.
