Writing Your Thesis or Dissertation: The Stuff They May Not Tell You
"Excellent -- another book about writing!" - Nobody. Ever.

There are lots of books about writing a thesis or dissertation.
This is one of them.
...with a twist.

Yes, it includes advice about academic writing, revision, formatting, and so forth.

It also includes advice about topics like project management skills, interpersonal dynamics, and self-care. These are all things the author either wasn't told or (more likely) didn't pay attention to, back in the dark ages of the twentieth century when he was in graduate school. It's all important stuff. It's also stuff "they" may not tell you.

Someone should.

Tackling a serious subject from a perspective that is sometimes light-hearted, sometimes caustic, but always supportive, Dr. Morrie Mullins draws on over 20 years mentoring student theses and dissertations in a book designed to help graduate students succeed. He offers advice to help students not just write and defend their thesis or dissertation, but to build skills for life.

About the Author

Morrie Mullins (Ph.D., but who's counting?) is a writer, educator, and editor. In addition to providing advice, mentorship, and coaching to students working on graduate theses and dissertations, he loves creating speculative fiction that mashes up fantasy and science fiction elements and plays with tropes. He's been an academic teaching in psychology programs for a quarter-century, and although he's pubilshed his fair share of articles and book chapters, this is his first solo-published book. He maintains a modest presence on social media, and more information about his writing, thinking, and pseudo-random braining can be found at his website (www.morriemullins.com). Assuming he can get it online and keep it online, of course.
