After signing up for one of David Romanelli's yoga workshops I purchased this book to get an idea of exactly what I signed up for. Romanelli's anecdotes are amusing, although a bit far-fetched in some cases, but the over-arching theme of the book is good. Slow down. Enjoy life. It's nothing that I didn't already know that I needed to do, but the book served as a nice reminder to try to find three moments in every day: a delicious moment, a funny moment and a beautiful moment. After all, life as a whole is comprised of a series of moments.

It only took a few pages to feel like Dave was my new friend. He has a great way of letting you right in through his writing. Our lives are speeding by at 100 miles per hour and this book gives you the tools to embrace every moment. There is great wisdom in the old quote "Stop and smell the roses", and Dave explains how our use of smell and taste are associated with our memories, and they are often triggers. I really enjoyed his advice on using our senses of scent & taste to get the most out of our moments. Exercise and Yoga are also areas that are brought up in this book that actually inspired me to explore further. The title is what hooked me! I said "Chocolate and Ipod, What?" Yes, it is a unique title for an equally unique read - I highly recommend!

I received this book as a gift and by the end of the Introduction, I was hooked. This inspiring book is chock-full of the kind of wisdom that leads to contentment, fulfillment, and happiness. What I learned about presence and awareness from Yeah Dave has been as meaningful as what I've learned from gurus like Eckhart Tolle and Anthony DeMello. What's different is that this book is written with a funny, irreverent tone of voice and I had a heck of a lot more fun reading it! After all, who would have thought that I'd gain so many profound insights reading about Hot Horny Married Woman (HHMW), Tolerance for Flatulence, and Dirty Smelly People?! This book is a great reminder that we can experience amazing moments every single day if we just keep our eyes open for them - and that we don't always have to take serious things so seriously. Before I completed Chapter 1, I had already bought the book for 10 other people. We now have regular conversations sharing our "Now Moments" with one another. And, many of them have told me that they've already bought the book for their friends! So, buy one for yourself and one for a friend - and begin your own "Now Moment" circle!
