About the Author
Mike Edwards is the founder of The 5 Stones Group, which is a film, television, and corporate media production company based in Columbus, Ohio. He has been honored with seven Emmy Awards, four Addy Awards, and one Telly Award. Mike’s passion for storytelling dates back to his childhood, when he began creating elaborate slideshow presentations in sixth grade using still photographs, original music arrangements, and the spoken word. He is considered one of the new breed of directors who has embraced technology to help tell stories in new and creative ways. His passion stems from his desire to create content that affects the heart, mind, and soul.
As a director, Mike has led his creative teams around the globe working for some of the world’s most recognized brands. Companies such as Acura, Sony, Canon, Ford, Google, Intel, Microsoft, and Panasonic have commissioned or again requested Mike to produce content for them that is story-driven, compelling, and memorable. In addition, he has directed and produced numerous documentaries on issues such as education, pediatric AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa, and the care of children with special needs.
Larry leads a Management Consulting firm, Worthington Partners. Ltd., specializing in customized financial, strategic planning, and advisory services to Fortune 1000 companies. His experience includes 30 years of multiple executive management roles at Sterling Commerce Corporation, Bank One Corporation, and Philip Morris including Mergers and Acquisitions, Investment Banking, Finance, Sales, Operations and Technology. Prior to his business career Larry was a School District Administrator in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He holds a BA degree in Political Science from Lawrence University, MBA (Finance) and MS (Educational Administration) degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
An active investor in emerging technology businesses, Larry is a founding member of the Ohio Tech Angel Fund and Investment Screening Committee member and advisor to TechColumbus, a technology incubator enterprise funded by the Ohio Department of Development. Larry is currently Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Wickford Companies, Director for the Central Ohio Chapter of the Financial Executives International, and is an advisor to the Center for Entrepreneurship at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
