The YIELD THE NIGHT paperback now includes the Steel & Stone short story, FEED THE FLAMES.
After surviving a round-trip to hell, Piper figures she can survive anything. After all, she just lived through the devastating loss of her Consul apprenticeship and a torturous stint at boarding school. How much worse could it get?
Well, she wasn't expecting a group of crazy radicals to burn her home to the ground and take her prisoner.
The Gaians, a.k.a. the crazy radicals, plan to rid Earth of daemons and they need Piper's help. In exchange for her cooperation, they promise her the answer to all her problems: magic. With her own magic, she could reclaim her apprenticeship, the only future she's ever wanted. But her magic comes at price-it could kill her.
With the only life she's ever known crumbling around her and her future slipping from her grasp, she needs Ash's help one more time. But the greatest danger of all lies within her, and no matter what she does, she may lose everything-including him.

A MUST READ! You definitely will not want to stop. I love Ash and Lyre. I don't blame Piper for wanting them both because I do too! In book 3, Piper discovered how the Sahar came to be--- Natalia and her two daemons just like Piper, Lyre, and Ash. I love how Natalia calls her two daemons, "my moon and sun." Thanks to her mother Mona, Piper's powers became unsealed which put Piper's life in danger. She's dying. Piper and the hot and sexy daemons must travel to the Overworld to find the daemon who first sealed her powers when she was a kid. Here on, their death adventuresbegin. I came to like Miysis until the ending of the book. I can't believe what he did to Piper and Ash! Okay, I know he's pissed off that Piper didn't keep her bargain but really? Then, there's Ash's sister Seiya, who seems to have issues with Piper all the way through the book.
