You Wish #1 by Jason Lethcoe, Kirill Chelushkin

On his eleventh birthday, sad, orphaned Benjamin Bartholomew Piff accidentally adheres to all of the wishing rules—and, in wishing for the mother lode of limitless wishes, he unknowingly sets into a motion a chain of events that threatens to disrupt the balance between the magical realm of wishes and curses. Before long, Benjamin has been recruited by the Wishworks Factory director himself to fight the evil henchmen of the Curseworks Factory. In the process, Benjamin will reclaim his original wish—giving new credence to the old adage: “Be careful what you wish for . . . ”

I read this book and LOVED it! This book is one of the best books i have evr read. Ben Piff goes through a lot from his parents in a plane crash, to almost completely upsetting the fragile balance of the magical universe. Trust me on this one you or a friend/child will love this book just as much as I do.

Do you know the book that is called You Wish? I think this book is excellent because of the main character Benjamin, he wished for the most dangerous wish of all… to have unlimited wishes. What is also amazing is that the book isn't in the first person point of view so you can know what everyone is thinking. When Ben was younger, his mother and father got killed on an airplane and ever since then he has been an orphanage. This book lets you see what Ben is doing in one chapter or more and Candlewick the next. I would really recommend reading this book if you like Non-fiction books and like a book that has a problem and then the problem get fixed. In my opinion, I think that this would be a good book if you have to read it to someone who couldn't read, like your younger siblings, or to a class, although of course, it would take a few days or weeks to accomplish.

"You Wish," written and illustrated by Jason Lethcoe, is the first book in The Misadventures of Benjamin Bartholomew Piff series. Packed full of action and humor, this book is a very fun, enjoyable adventure which is clearly in a league of its own! Readers will find themselves quickly turning the pages in "You Wish," because it is absolutely impossible to put down! After finishing this novel, all readers will definitely try to get their hands on book two, "Wishful Thinking," as soon as possible!
