3.5 stars Review by Leah Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Young Enough, The Age Between Us book two, by Charmaine Pauls brings the D to RAMA! WOOO…. so much happening in this book. How do you keep your composure when life deals you a bad hand? Jane kept her composure the ENTIRE TIME when I would have been climbing the walls freaking out, pissed off, ready to take anyone and everyone out. Dealing with a failed marriage due to her husband's infidelity (I have fallen in love and it’s not you….), dealing with an angry teenage daughter due to failed marriage (that in itself is a handful), the now ex-husband and his brand new fiancée are expecting; oh and guess what…… he wants the house back for his “new family”. Just when Jane begins to start living again, trying to be normal, a fortune teller tells her that she is in another bad relationship. Welp, you know how the saying goes “when it rains it pours” and it pours on poor Jane, literally in this book. I had to stop myself several times from yelling at my poor tablet, wanting to go off on a certain character. Even to the point where I just wanted to jump into my tablet real quick and just handle business for Jane. I understand keeping the peace but there are times when you have got to put your foot down. But she made it out gracefully, A LOT more gracefully than I would have, HA! The Princess gets her Prince, which she TOTALLY DESERVES

I can't even tell you how much this book will age you. The stress, strain, and crazed situations will give you grey hairs and possibly a heart condition. Young Enough gives you hope but man do you have to hold on with both hands kicking and screaming. Charmaine Pauls does not, I repeat does not, take it easy on the reader. This isn't a slightly bumpy road this is a freaking volcano dumped in the middle of your backyard. It's rough and you can't run from it. You will be burned. Your only saving grace is if you catch the warning signals.

*** Be warned, this book is red-hot and you will not be able to put it down! *** Young Enough is the second book in The Age Between Us duet. If you have not read Old Enough, the first book in this duet, you will be a little lost. I recommend you go back and read the first book. I really loved the first book in this series and didn't think that I could possibly like this book more….Boy was I wrong. I absolutely loved this book. If I could give it more than five stars I would. Young Enough is the continuation of Jane and Brian’s dark, erotic love story. At times this book was sooo intense, I was overwhelmed, but I couldn't put it down. I read the whole book in about five hours. There were multiple times where I actually said, “Noooo, OMG, that did not just happen!” This book has everything, lust, deceit, lies, blackmail, and an all consuming love between two people that defies all logic. Ms. Pauls writing is superb, from the first word to the last. Her further development of the secondary characters are carefully crafted, and in the end their true nature is revealed. While the story unfolds she deliberately divulges little hints of what may happen and then… the book explodes! When you think you have figured out what is going on, there is a new twist, a new lie brought to light, another person’s betrayal is exposed, all of which is attempting to keep Brian and Jane apart. I love the way Ms. Pauls cultivates the relationship between Jane and Brian. The love and heartbreak they share wraps around your heart, squeezing until you feel as lost and out of control as they do. She also writes the most amazing, seductive scenes… steam meter! The big question: do Jane and Brian get the HEA they so deserve or do the circumstances and people in their lives who are plotting against them win? Sorry, not going to tell! The Age Between Us duet will go down as one of my favorite duets. I might just have to go back a read it again, it was just that heart wrenchingly beautiful! ***I kindly received an ARC of this book by way of NetGalley/publisher/author. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This is my honest review.***

Young Enough is book Two in the The Age Between Us by Charmaine Pauls. This continues the story of Brian and Jane. I do strongly feel you should read the previous book 'Old Enough' before reading this one. f Jane has suffered through so much. Jane was a strong women that did have weak moments as anyone would in her shoes. Although Brian was young in physical age he was a older sole who had to fight to get what he wanted. For so much of their difference there so much that they were as one. Really enjoyed reading their story.

The first part of this explosive story had one of the best cliffhangers I’ve read in quite a while and along with the forbidden younger man/older woman trope, these lovers will come out of the closet and try to live their lives while juggling careers and their responsibilities. This captivating story has so many facets, in addition to the erotica, it kept me on edge racing ever closer to the end hoping that these two lovers would emerge unscathed. I started and finished Jane and Brian’s book in one sitting because in addition to the delicious eroticism, the story this author weaves is absolutely brilliant and so intricately woven I found it impossible to imagine how it would end. This book is fabulous! I read an early copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Old enough left you dangling and Young Enough is completely explosive. I took it steady to 50% determined to savour and enjoy the relationship between Jane and Brian because in the back of my mind I just knew the complexity of these characters would unfurl and it it would hit the fan. The role Abby plays in this and Janes parenting has her up for a super mum nomination. Janes secrets and previous traumas unfold at such a rate I read the last 50% in one sitting. Brian and the oh so bitchy Lindy come in to full horrific force and you wonder what can happen next. This book is brilliantly written with a great story. What is age? Why is it ok if the man is older but not the other way round? I just loooved it. 5

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book. This is book two in The Age Between Us set, and you MUST read book one, Old Enough, before you read this one, it is not a stand alone. I'm not gonna write a blurby bit, cos I might give something away! When it all starts to unravel for Jane, and indeed for Brian, together, and separately, its like a ball rolling down a hill. As it moves, it gets faster and faster, and for Jane and Brian, things move at great speed, one thing after another after another, til the only way is for them both to walk away. When reading this unraveling, its like Oh My God. Then its, No Freaking WAY! And SAY WHAT NOW!!! Because Pauls chucks so many, so bloody MANY things at this couple, and at us, it's a wonder they are still standing. So many twists and turns, so much that came totally out of left field, that I was totally blown away with the plot twists! I've filed it on the darker/grittier shelf, because some of the things that are thrown at Brian and Jane need that tag. But if I tell you what they are, that would give plot lines away, so if anyone wants to know, please feel free to message me, and I will tell you, but I'm not doing that here. BUT!!! It's again, first person present tense, from both Jane and Brian's point of view. And as much as I loved this book, more so than the first, I still can't get past that. And for that I'm sorry! Its very well written, though and you really do feel for both Brian and Jane when things start to go wrong. Strangely, I felt more for Brian than I did for Jane. Well I did, up to a point, and after that point?? It was Jane I felt more for! So, even though I enjoyed this one more than book one, I still can't get past the present tense ..... 4 stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

This book was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. This is book two of The Age Between Us duet and you must read book one first (and trust me you will be so glad you did!). In it's most basic form, this is about Jane and Brian and it is an older woman/younger man, forbidden romance. This book and series is well written, offers a strong, compelling storyline and complex characters. Filled with deep, layered and complicated emotions that will completely engage both your heart and mind, have you totally submerged in this world and totally invested in this couple. My heart broke so many times during this book. Even knowing or guessing at some of the many secrets or potential disasters that were circling around these lovers, will not prepare readers for everything that happens in this book. Trust me, you will be left stunned, blindsided, gutted and broken. So please, prepare yourself for an emotional tornado the likes of which I have never before experienced in a book. Even days after finishing this book, my heart still hurts and my thoughts spin as I think of what occurred during the course of this romance. I loved Jane and Brian so much! Their romance is beautiful and profound. It will make you swoon, smile and melt. It will make you cry, yell at the fates and curse the harsh and judgmental world we live in. It will showcase the lengths we can go for love and the high price we often pay for doing so. I do not want to give any spoilers because this book and series deserves to take center stage and the chance to dazzle each and every reader with it's brilliance. And dazzle it will, with its hot, sizzling steam, jaw dropping secrets, spectacular twists, shocking revelations and the devastating consequences of it all. Do yourself a favor and buy these books! They earn each and every one of the five stars I gave them and I wish I could give them more because they are just that good!

Oh my gawd the drama! Drama, drama, drama! And I loved every moment of it! While Old Enough sets up the relationship between Brian and Jane, showcasing their dreams, desires and struggles, this book explodes with all the repercussions of their decisions and actions. Jane’s life implodes from not only her current situation but from her past and she is helpless to stop it. Brian is faced with dealing from the fall out of living in the wrong neighborhood and being in the sights of the wrong people. Together is no longer an option if this couple want to come out of this with any semblance of normalcy for their individual futures. Every turn of the page in this book resulted in new information as well as new trials and horrors for both of these characters. I wasn’t sure I would survive it. It was like watching a nuclear explosion except what was exploding was nothing more than a house of cards built on secrets and deceit. The strength Jane showed throughout her ordeals made me realize the true extent of strength that was hidden within her throughout the first book. There were times I was sure she would simply give up and let the tide of despair sweep her away. Instead, she continued to move forward, determined to take one step at a time, even when each step took her further away from everything she ever loved. Brian remained solid in his love and devotion to Jane despite the obstacles that laid waste to each day as his family, friends, and his own conscience fought against everything he longed for. Making decisions that would ultimately cost him the woman he adored more than his own life, he never took his eyes off the prize. Young Enough has so many twists and turns keeping me on the edge, I read it in one sitting. I could not set it aside. I had to know how this couple could ever overcome the many trials and obstacles that prevented them from finding true happiness. While age certainly plays a part in their story, there is so much more here that consumed their tale until age was a mere drop in the ocean of their fears and grief. I loved every moment of both of these books and the wild, sometimes erotic, always unpredictable ride this author took me on. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5 STARS!!!! This was such a great conclusion to this duet. There was so much in this story that happened that I didn't expect and that had me finishing this book in one sitting. There was so much drama in this book and once again there were those characters I loved, and characters I loved to hate. I disliked Loretta in the first book and in this story she showed her true colors, along with some others. I'm glad Abby matured a little but for a while I didn't think she would. Francois and Debbie even became likable characters. Benjamin was in a league of his own and I didn't hate him but I didn't quite care for him either. There was so much going on in this story but I loved how everything was wrapped up. I was completely satisfied with the ending and I enjoyed this story a lot. I definitely look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.

One thing I learned from this book is that apparently I am bloodthirsty and that Jane is a better woman than I am. I knew Jane and Brian's journey was not going to be easy but I had no clue the amount of pain Jane would suffer for her chance at happiness. How much can one woman take until she breaks? That's still the question because Jane proved to be much stronger than I gave her credit for in the first book. She is one of the most honest, giving heroines I have ever read. She truly only wanted what was best for others and never complained for herself, and it killed me at times. Through it all, Brian proved that age is just a number. I loved how fiercely he loved her. How hard he fought for her. He's the kind of hero I love to read about. For being as young as he was, he knew what he wanted and he jumped every hurdle in his way. I loved how much of a better man he was compared to the more "mature" side characters in this book. This is a couple that deserves to make it work. Despite my bloodthirsty nature not being satisfied, I can appreciate the way the author kept Jane true to character. This was brilliantly written but I am not surprised since I have experienced this author before. I highly recommend The Age Between Us Duet. ARC provided by author.

I thought I’d lost everything. My life was in tatters when a man half my age broke into my property and invaded my future. Our love is forbidden, but I’m single and he’s all the taboo I crave. I had no idea how much more I was about to lose. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Charmaine Pauls is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
