Someone sitting in an office at a state or national level is choosing the treatments that insurance companies and Medicaid will pay for in regards to your child's Autism treatment. Is that really acceptable that someone who has never even met or talked to your child is deciding what the best treatment options are for him or her? Do they think your child is a real person or do they just think that your child is a Science project?
As an adult with Autism I am entirely confused with the treatment system in America that we use for Autism. I have been diagnosed for nearly 7 years as Autistic but yet I have never received any appropriate social skills coaching or instruction. Truthfully I feel that the state of Indiana ignores Autism entirely because they must not think it is a real thing.
This book explains how you can advocate for better services and social skills coaching for your child with Autism. It will help you get insurance companies to see that your child is a real human being and not a fake person or Science project.
