10 years ago I was referred to Dr. Ezrin. Under his care I lost 50 lbs in 8 months (went from a size 16 to a size 6). There is nothing scary or unhealthy about any of his program. In spite of the high protein emphasis, my cholesterol plummeted by 100 points in a couple of months and I no longer had any problems with my GERD. I highly recommend Dr. Ezrin's program.

This is the most dangerous book I've had the misfortune to buy. A friend of a friend was on this diet and met directly with Dr. Ezrin. I now understand why, as I asked 3 different doctors about this diet and the drug he recommends you take and they all said "NO!" unequivocably. No other self-respecting doctor with a modicum of care for his patients would allow this, as a doctor friend explained. This is 1,000 calories / day and the drug is to numb your brain so you don't realize you're not providing your body enough nutrition. I've since started a Mediterranean diet and lost 12 lbs in 5 weeks with good nutrition and exercise.

This book gives a scientific explanation of why some dieters hit the wall. It takes the Atkins and South Beach diets a step further and has its own medical twist. Dr. Ezrin has great credentials and I am working his program now with excellent results!
