Being a life-long struggler with weight, compulsive eating, unhealthy food choices, etc., I find the material in this book encouraging. The material stresses to stop thinking 'diet', but to think 'well', 'whole', 'healthy' - in all areas of life - not just with the eating. And it stresses patience - slow and steady will win the race in the end. I can agree with that now having tried so many quick fixes - those are unrealistic. The devotional material is excellent as it helps the reader see shat could be prompting poor eating behavior. Understanding oneself is a leap forward and knowing that God loves me no matter what is vital. Hearing from a licensed and well-respected dietician is terrific. Increases the credibility measurably. Will be relying on this material for many years as it is sensible and doable.
