Tim finds a hen by the roadside. The poor bird has fallen from a truck and is in bad shape. Tim takes the hen home and looks after her, but she is very confused. She cannot fly, lay eggs, or cluck. So Tim gives her "hen" lessons, but nothing seems to work . . .

About the Author
Jacques Vriens is one of the most famous children’s authors in The Netherlands. He writes for both younger and older children. His work is quite extensive. Several of his books are successfully made into a film. Cool kids do not cry was a huge international success and Secrets of War was released in 2014. He is also active in promoting children to read. Until March 2015 he was the first Dutch Children’s books Ambassador.
Henk Kneepkens began his career as an artist more than fifty years ago when he started working as an illustrator of magazines at a publishing house in Haarlem. Meanwhile he has provided numerous bookcovers and/ or book illustrations for several books by children’s authors.
