About the Author

Sallie Stamps Swor, the author of the popular cookbook, You're Grown-Now You Can Cook, is introducing her second much-requested book in her series of You're Grown cookbooks entitled, You're Grown-Now You Can Throw A Party. The original cookbook began as a request from her son, Richard, who had grown up loving his mother's cooking and entertaining. He was moving into his first apartment and asked her to write a cookbook for him of favorite recipes. When his friends tasted these delicious dishes they all wanted copies of You're Grown-Now You Can Cook. You're Grown-Now You Can Throw A Party, continues to encourage cooking for friends and family with a focus on party menus, menu planning, and creative entertaining ideas for the novice cook as well as the more experienced chef who loves to throw a party. Sallie is a guest chef on the local CBS affiliate morning show, teaches classes at the popular Monteagle Assembly retreat, conducts demonstrations and classes at local markets and CSA's, lectures at book clubs, supper clubs, study groups, and garden clubs. Sallie uses her talents to provide food for fundraisers and volunteer events, and donates books and cooking classes to charitable organizations.
