Overview

You're Lovable to Me by Kat Yeh, Sue Anderson

IN THIS WARMHEARTED tale of multigenerational love, repentant bunnies apologize to their mama for the day’s shenanigans. Mama Bunny gathers her children together and reassures them that she will always love them: “No matter what your feelings are, whatever they may be . . . I’m your mama. You’re my bunnies. And you’re lovable to me.” After the young bunnies are tucked in, Mama Bunny’s papa drops by for tea and to tell her that she, too, is his bunny and infinitely lovable to him.

Old-fashioned illustrations and a gentle rhyme will endear readers to this bedtime picture book that has the making of a love-classic.

A cream colored queen padded in....she was heavy with kits and needed a place to stay. She could do anything. She was a medicine cat until her and Kestralflight mated.

What a nice way to put children to bed. This book educates children in a sweet way using bunnies to tell them that their mommy is never mad at them for very long and that they are always cherished and loved. The book the changes a little bit and brings in the grandfather bunny who also tells his "little girl" (the mama bunny) that she is special to him. A loving story.

I loved this honest and heartwarming tale the minute I saw it. The story (told with Sue Anderson's wonderful bunny illustrations) exemplifies that we all have our struggles no matter how big or small we are. The relationship between the mother and her bunnies feels so real, and at the end of the story, it's clear why; the Mamma bunny had a good role model. My girls (2 and 5) ask for this every night before bed, and my big girl has started telling me, "Mommy, I love you just the way you are. What more can parents hope for from a story?
