About the Author

Darcy Burke is the USA Today bestselling author of hot, action-packed historical and sexy, emotional, contemporary romance. Darcy wrote her first book at age eleven, a happily-ever-after about a swan addicted to magic and the female swan that loved him, with exceedingly poor illustrations.

A native Oregonian, Darcy lives on the edge of wine country with her guitar-strumming husband, their two hilarious kids who seem to have inherited the writing gene, and three Bengal cats. In her “spare” time, Darcy is a serial volunteer enrolled in a twelve-step program where one learns to say “no,” but she keeps having to start over. She’s also a fair-weather runner, and her happy places are Disneyland and Labor Day weekend at the Gorge.

I’ve read several second chance romances recently, and Darcy Burke brought the characters and story to life, keeping me involved in their story and worried that they just might pass up on this chance. Bex and Hayden were an item in college, but years have passed after circumstances and youth broke them apart. Now Bex wants to be back among the Archers, and with Hayden away, the chance at her dream job with a family she adores is too good to pass up. Away in France, Hayden returns to find that Bex is back in his family again, but he’s not so sure he can forgive her for leaving him. He’s also not sure he wants to stay in Ribbon Ridge, it’s awkward with Bex around, and he was sublimely happy in France, it was a good opportunity. Returning home, however, he finds he still is attracted to Bex, even if he’s doing everything in his power to not show it. Bex thought she’d never lose the soft spot she had for Hayden, until he reappears and she realizes that she never did stop loving him, and perhaps she made the worst mistake of her life in leaving. Memories from both of them range from happy to bittersweet, and they show that their ties never were quite severed entirely. These two still had to work out the old resentments and fears, and the emotional balance that Burke strikes in telling the story keeps readers wondering and hoping: you see how good they are for one another, how readily the Archers accept Bex back as a member of the large and crazy family, and just how good they are together. It just takes time for these two to work it all out for themselves, and a better paced HEA can’t be found anywhere. A wonderful addition to the series, one that is sure to make you want to start from the beginning. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This was a great way to end this series, at least the main Archer part of it. I loved Hayden and Bex's struggle to get along for the present while they kept being drawn back into the past. Bex was an awesome character. Strong and sassy and yet vulnerable and loving too. Hayden just broke my heart. I really felt for him. Burke also handles some very sensitive subject matter with truth and tact. I really enjoyed this book. While I'm sad this series is over, I am excited to see what Burke has in store for the Archer friends and extended family.

Dynamic! The Ribbon Ridge series that Darcy Burke has shared with us has been been such a pleasure to read and experience! The Archer family has a little bit of everything ... sibling rivalry, love, laughter, tears, angst, guilt, you name it -- but in the end, it's all about being a family. I stumbled across this series with Book 4, and have dearly loved 4, 5 and this one is #6. I will one day find the time to go back and read 1, 2 & 3 because I love this family so much! Kudos to Darcy for wrapping a family around my heart and making me wish for the world for them all. I feel a great sadness that this is the wrap up of the Archer kids ... but look forward to catching future glimpses at them from afar with more books set in Ribbon Ridge. Hayden Archer has spent the last year in France escaping from real life, and when he returns home, isn't sure where he fits in anymore. After a family tragedy, his parents and siblings have all had a lot of healing to do and each has gone about it a different way, but have all settled back home in Ribbon Ridge. When he arrives to find out his college girlfriend who broke his heart five years ago is now working for the family brewery, he's not happy. He finally got over pining for her and now she's back in his life again. Bex Holmgren couldn't face staying in Ribbon Ridge with Hayden all those years ago. Turmoil over a loss they shared along with being overwhelmed by his large family drove her to need some space away. Running into Hayden now that he's home shows her that the love she thought she was over, is still there ... he's still the one ... but can he ever forgive her and trust her with his heart ever again?

Format: Galley Copy Bex and Hayden leapt right off the pages and into my heart. Bex just wants her dream job and maybe a chance to win Hayden's heart again. Hayden is determined to move on. Though they're both conflicted neither can seem to stay away from the other. Though I felt Hayden was a bit hard headed I still loved him to death and totally relate to his character. Bex has a huge heart and it's easily squashed or large enough to let the entire giant family that is the Archers in. After hints of Hayden and Bex's relationship in the previous two Ribbon Ridge stories I read, I wasn't sure what to expect. Their story blew me away. It's one of the best second chance romances I've ever read. If you enjoy steamy romances that leave you with a content feeling in the end I highly recommend You're Still the One.

Darcy Burke is one of my favorite authors, her historicals are fantastic and this contemporary series has been just as good! This family that she had created is so inviting! I want to know them, I want to hang out and come for Sunday dinner. They are all real people with real problems. This installment of the series, sadly the last, is about Hayden Archer, "the spare" He was a lone birth after his brothers and sisters, all 6 of them, sextuplets, we're born. He was a surprise but loved by all, but he has never felt like he was "one of the gang." Hayden has been away in France learning the wine business, one of his dreams come true. He is back in Ribbon Ridge just for the soft opening of his family's recent project. The Alex, a multi functional getaway spot that his brothers and sisters have been working on since his brother Alex passed away. Hayden does not know that the family has hired a new brewer for their other enterprise, Archer Brewing. He also does not know that he knows the person they hired, intimately. He is shocked to see her the first night he is back. Bex, his ex. He thought they would marry and have a family by now but that hadn't quite worked out. All he wants to do is avoid her, but can he really do that if she is working for his father? There were parts of this story that took my breath away, I cried, I laughed, I sighed. LOL So very well written that I wanted to just stay there for a while and soak up the lives of these people. I have followed this series from the beginning and I am sad to see the Archer's story end. But it was a wonderful series and I will absolutely read them all again. Darcy Burke can write In a way that makes you feel like you've known the characters for years. And when you get to read another story, it's like coming home. I highly recommend this series, and Her historical if you like that genre, you will love hers! I know I do! I received an advanced copy of this title in exchange for my honest opinion and honestly, I loved it!

What I've loved and hated about reading this series by Darcy Burke is how she's puts my emotions through the ringer. I've been happy, then sad, and even at times...pretty pissed off! Each book has done this to me. I'll love everyone in this book only to hate half of them in the next! What a wonderful ride I've been on! It killed me that this is the last Archer family book. I knew it was coming, there are only so many family members, but still I didn't want it to be over. I'm happy to say that the Archer's might have all gotten there HEA but some other members of Ribbon Ridge haven't. I can't wait for their stories! So on to You're Still the One! I have so many thoughts about this book. Before I get into them let me said that I really did love it. Some of what I'm going to say is going to make you think I lied about that, but I didn't. This book for me has been the biggest roller coaster ride. It's now Hayden's time to find love and I couldn't wait for that to happen, man was I unhappy with who he was finding love with. In the beginning of this book I HATED Bex's. I just wanted to smash her face in. I know!!! What the hell kind of reaction is that???? I don't know why she made me feel that way, but she did. It took me half the book to start coming around to her. Not to worry, the Archer's actions had me distracted so sometimes I forgot about her. Hayden's family also pissed me off and I'd really want to talk about why but don't want to run anything for you. Because deep down I love this family I was able to understand and forgive...I'm lying, I didn't understand it really. Oh well!!! Still love them. In the end I was totally happy with the story and everyone in it. I did finally warm up to Bex's...a little. Haha! I think you'll very much enjoy this story but it's not what I'd call a stand alone. You really have to go back to the first book in the series and start there. Not to worry, summer is coming and you'll need something to read around the pool, or at least I think it's coming!

I love this story by Darcy Burke! It is about Hayden and Bex and the last book in the Ribbon Ridge series. Hayden is the youngest child in his large family and the one that had always put everyone else's needs before his until his brother Alex passed away and then Hayden left home and went to France to finally live part of the life that he has always wanted. Coming home for his sister's wedding and the opening of The Alex was something that he wanted, but also had to do, but he felt left out of loop since he hasn't been home for a year and didn't seem to be included in any of the decisions made revolving around the family businesses even when they included hiring his ex-girlfriend. Bex knew she was going to have to see Hayden, but when he showed up early she wasn't the only one that was surprised because his whole family seemed surprised also. Now to do her job and keep her feelings for Hayden hidden until he goes back to France, but all of that changes when Hayden changes the rules. I love Hayden and Bex! Their relationship has had so many ups and downs, but their love for one another never changed. They just needed to grow up and find out who they were apart to make it work out for the rest of their lives. I'm going to miss this series! Each book was like coming home after being gone for a long time. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

You're Still the One is the conclusion of the Ribbon Ridgeseries...which I haven't read the rest of (yet). I was okay as a standalone, though there's so many people and significant others and backstories going on throughout (Hayden, the hero, is the seventh child with a set of sextuplets in front of him) that I really felt as if I needed a cheat sheet throughout to remind me of who's who and with whom. It's not hard to follow the story, it's just a tad bit overwhelming. Kind of like growing up in the Archer family was, so in a way that works! If you have read the rest of the series, you'll love this one--everyone's here, you'll see the end result of the storyline that must have started with the first book (one of the sextuplets, who's always been in poor health, dies and sets a major family project into motion), plus there's a great second chance romance here for the youngest--and only still single--child. Definite catnip for series lovers, and a good read for the rest of us. Plus, your TBR will suddenly increase by five... ;) Hayden and Bex were a major item five years ago, before the unthinkable happened and Bex took off, leaving Hayden in a bad place. Now they're both back in town, and determined to put their past behind them. Except fate--and Hayden's entire meddling, busybody family has other ideas.... A whole lot gets resolved by the end of this story. Bex and Hayden come to terms with their past and commit to their new future, Hayden finally finds his place both in his family and with his career, and the Archers open the project they've spent six books getting ready. If you love second chance romances and stories with large, chaotic casts of characters, give this book (and series!) a try! Rating: 4 stars / B+ I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Just when I thought the Ribbon Ridge series couldn't get more emotional, Darcy Burke gives us You're Still the One. I love how the author gives us a family that may look perfect from the outside but is full of flaws, and personality conflicts, and issues like every family. It makes the Archers real to the reader. It's fitting that the last of the Archer children to get his happily-ever-after is the one who felt most left out his entire life, and we experience that emotion with him in this book. My heart ached for him as he worked through his issues with his family and feeling like the "odd man out". You're Still the One is a wonderful "second chance at love" story, with Bex and Hayden having a relationship that ended with Bex left town five years ago. The dynamic of Bex's relationship with Hayden's family brought an interesting twist to their romantic relationship and complicated their separate returns to town. But when it counted, Hayden's family rallied behind him and beside him. The emotions were riveting, the humor laugh-out-loud funny, and the sex was steamy in this "last" book in the Archer saga. But not to fear-- the author teases the reader with some new personalities that you want to get to know better--so while we are leaving Ribbon Ridge right now, I'm confident it's only temporary. Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Bex Holmgren always knew she wanted more than what Ribbon Ridge could offer, and she made big plans to leave as soon as she was through with high school. She had always hoped that her boyfriend Hayden would want the same thing, and follow suit, but he shattered her dream by telling her he wanted his future to be in Ribbon Ridge. So, she made the heartbreaking decision to leave without him, and it crushed both of them, and she has regretted that decision everyday for the last five years. She tried to move on, and dated other men, but her lingering feelings for Hayden always kept her from opening her heart to someone else. She has made a great life for herself, and has a job she enjoys, but she knows that someday that isn't going to be enough, eventually she will need love to create the family she has always wanted. When she receives a unexpected call from Ribbon Ridge, along with a job offer she can't really refuse, she is left with a tough decision. Can she move back home and face the ones she left behind, to have the future she has always wanted or is the risk for another broken heart just to great? Hayden Archer has spent the last five years trying to get over the loss of the love of his life, and for the most part he's moved on, by dating random girls here and there. But he made the decision early on that love was no longer in the cards for him, nor were serious relationships, so he keeps his entanglements with woman strictly to a casual basis. For the last year he has been living in France working alongside a winemaker, learning the craft, with the hope of someday owning his own winery. He misses his family, and knows they'd love nothing more than for him to return home, but the idea going back to a place where he is constantly feeling left out doesn't really appeal to him. Since losing his brother Alex, there was a shift in the family, and his spot as the family fixer kind of went by the wayside, and left him feeling like they no longer needed him, so he figured it was time to follow his dreams, and left them all behind. But now home is calling, and his presence at his sister's wedding is expected, so he decides to take a trip home and appease his parents. But before he leaves he is offered the chance of a lifetime in France, and when he arrives home his friends in Ribbon Ridge also make him an offer he can't really refuse so now he must decide if it's time to go home for good, or make a new life in France? Once he is home though things start to become a little clearer then they ever were before... Once again Ms. Burke has provided readers with an exceptional read full of heart and promise, and a well deserved happily ever after that is certain to provide readers with a state of complete literary bliss! Hearing that this was the last installment in the Ribbon Ridge series was a sad moment for me, because I have loved meeting all of these wonderful characters created by Ms. Burke. However, learning that she will be branching out from this series and introducing us to the Westcott family definitely makes up for it. I look forward to this upcoming series, and getting a up close view of these new characters. I highly recommend you add the Ribbon Ridge series to the top of your reading list, each story is well crafted, highly entertaining and filled with some very memorable characters that are sure to leave an indelible impression on your heart! You're Still the One by Darcy Burke....I love going back to Ribbon Ridge and how perfect to get Hayden and Bex story. These two have so much chemistry and perfect together. I am mixed, I loved this story so much, but I am sad the Archers are over. I am hoping we will get more Ribbon Ridge. I absolutely love Darcy Burke storytelling, I can't wait to see what is next. I highly recommend this series...Fall in love with Ribbon Ridge and the Archers as I did. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I feel like I've been waiting for Hayden's story since I read the first book of this series. Hayden and Bex have quite a history and it was interesting to see them try to work things out. Or at least get to a point where it's not horribly awkward to be in the same room together. Of course there's a pesky matter of chemistry that's off the charts... Sure, the plot was overly dramatic and a bit predictable, but isn't the HEA what we're all after anyway? Loved the family scenes, even if I couldn't keep track of who was who. This was a great ending to the series. I feel like it's safe to say that if you've enjoyed the series, you'll like this one too. **Huge thanks to Avon Impulse and Edelweiss for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review**

I was totally heartbroken when I realized the Archer family saga was coming to an end. I have enjoyed visiting Ribbon Ridge. Saying goodbye feels like losing a good friend. The only good to come out of the end of this series is that I can read the entire series again back to back. That makes it a little easier to bear. I received an ARC of You're Still the One in exchange for an honest review. Darcy Burke ended the series the same way she began it. Tragedy and heartbreak strengthened the bonds of the Archer family mending what was broken. It's fitting that You're Still the One examines how youth and heartbreak broke apart Hayden and Bex's love affair but a twist of fate and maturity may give them a second chance. From the beginning this series has been a story of a family united by tragedy but it also shows that the power of love is a burning light that can never be extinguished.
