This book made feel like I was right there with these women, in every adventure that they took, the author kept me on the edge of my seat while reading this book. I felt like I was on every trail, in every part of each of their lives, almost as if I was in the story. This was the first time that I had read any of this author work. She is an excellent writer and I will be reading more of her work. Some books get boring at the end, but not this book. I could not put it down very long, I even woke-up in the middle of the night and had to finish one of the chapters.

Having always read historical fictions where the main characters were men this was a refreshing change. The Yukon series shows the strength three women get from their faith in God. The love they have for God and each other. It is interesting, gripping and thought provoking all at the same time. I have to make myself put the book down to go to sleep. If you love good clean stories about people facing hard times and turning to God to see them through then this book is for you.

I just can't seem to put any of Tracie's books down. Being from Alaska i was really interested in her books and continued to buy them. My favorite is the Yukon Quest, second being Montana Heirs. Thanks for your wonderful writing, don't stop, Come to the Aleutians and i can give you a book or two to write about.

this is my first tracie peterson. after reading ricochet by Sandra Brown this was a pleasant surprise.I do Love Sandra Brown however her books would be just as good without the xxxxxx rated text and sharing too much of 'explicit' sex scenes. I was so glad for ' Summer of the midnight sun' which I can share with my grandchildren!!!!! Imagine that. thanks ps.Calhoun Ga.

I personally enjoyed the Yukon Quest as an easy, somewhat interesting read, but it wasn't enough to make me feel like dancing for joy or anything. In my opinon, things just came to easily to the characters - conflicts were resolved in the same paragraph that they occured a lot of the time, and by the last page every loose end had been tied up and every question neatly answered. Because of this, I didn't really feel like I could relate to the characters, or relate the book to my own life and experiences. So, it's a nice way to spend your time, but nothing you could write an interesting thesis on or anything.

This new book appears to be a repackaging of the 3 books together into 1. It is a fabulous story of 3 women who met up along the way to the Yukon Territory, how they're lives intersect, and how they meet the one God has picked out for each one. It is a fantastic story, full of real details of life in the Alaskan and Candian gold rush.
