Harper ditched San Francisco and moved to Eagle Ridge to be the new librarian in town after her fiance called off their 2 year engagement claiming she was too dull for him in all ways. Determined to live a more active life she never imagined a gorgeous hunk of a man like river guide Zane would be interested in her. But things are changing all around the town with Zane's twin and sister settling down. These two are so sweet with their insecurities and awkward dating moves. Throw in family, friends, and the antics of one mulitphobia crazy dog for the win. I enjoyed this fun small town romance read.

This is the story of two imperfect people, Zane Tucker and Harper Grace. Zane and Harper are very attracted to each other, although they work very hard to fight the feeling. Due to horrible past relationships, neither of them thinks that they are good enough for each other. Harper’s ex-fiance tells her, when he calls off the wedding, that she is too boring. A girlfriend tells Zane that he is too klutzy to be with any girl. They are both so afraid that they will disappoint each other, they end up confusing each other. In spite of that, the characters are loveable and charismatic. In fact, this is even true of Zane’s “pooch,” Gambler, who is as klutzy as Zane. All of their actions are often humorous and fun to read. Of, course, in the end, Zane,Harper and Gambler have their heartwarming, happy ending. I had a wonderful time reading this fun story about two imperfect, but loving, people. I received a complimentary copy of this title and voluntarily reviewed it.

Enjoying this series of seven servicemen returning to their home town after serving in the various branches of the armed services... Each of the seven books is by a different author and yet the characters from the earlier books continue to appear... Lots of real family history and history in the making... Lots of action as well as a lot of humor... Fun watching the dynamics as each of these young men finds their way in civilian life... Expect I will read all seven books and wish for more..

4.5 Stars What happens when an author throws a shy, but trying to be brave, librarian and confirmed hot guy bachelor together? SPARKS! Zane Tucker is having fun running his business and being free, that is until the rest of his family seems to be falling in love. Now he appears to the talk of the town with his sulking and it only makes him more irritated. That is until his lovable, but fear filled, lab named Gambler, knocks down a woman that suddenly catches his interest in a way that no one has before. But Harper Grace is not what anyone would consider a good time girl that Zane normally goes for. She appears to be a good girl. And that is exactly what Harper wants to stop being thought of. She had a relationship that was boring and predictable, except for her ex’s philandering ways. She wants passion and excitement, but she needs to learn to get over her shyness before she can get it. Maybe Zane can help her with that, if she thought he was interested in her in a real way instead of a way that will try to get the town off his back. Maybe being a pretend girlfriend can turn into something more, if only she can be brave enough to finally take that first step when it is offered. I could say that ZANE was like so many other stories of the hot guy bad boy and the shy and sweet librarian, but it so wasn’t! I really fell in love with Zane and Harper. Christie Ridgway created a wonderful story that included laughter, uncertainty, vulnerability, and love. I went through all the emotions while reading and became intrigued with the other characters that popped up in the story. The whole story was wonderful, and the writing completely pulled in from the first chapter until the last. So much, I was sorry to see the story end and wanted more. I believe that I now have a new author to add to by auto buy list. eARC through L. Woods PR

Zane is book 3 in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers Series. This book very easily can be a stand alone. Harper Grace is the new town librarian who meets Zane with the help of his dog, dog, Gambler. Zane is a big guy that owns his own Outdoor Company. He's not into relationships. Their attraction is instant. Zane is fighting against himself. He doesn't feel he's the right person for Harper. Like he's not good enough, which is very sad. He shows what a wonderful person he is by taking on a dog with issues that not very many people would take on. He also has Harper's back while she's training for the race. Zane and his friends make some interesting bets which brings some humor to this story. I think it's great that not only does Zane find love his dad does too. I enjoyed reading this boo

I loved reading Zane by Christie Ridgway, the third book in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series. Zane Tucker was the sickly twin until he outgrew his asthma and became as strong as Adam; unfortunately, that was the same time his mother left them for the bright lights of Hollywood. After a shoulder injury forces his departure from the Army, he returns home to Eagle’s Ridge to open a water-sports business. Zane believes that his large size makes him uncoordinated, like a bull in the china shop, not unlike his undisciplined dog. When his dog, Gamble, knocks down Harper Grace, Eagle’s Ridge’s new librarian, Zane finds himself a new friend. Harper came to Eagle’s Ridge for a new start, a way to change from being the quiet, introvert who was too boring for her ex-fiancé. Harper compares Zane and herself as a leopard and dust bunny, not a good fit. Zane, Mr. Causal Relationship, decides to prove her wrong and that just maybe, a leopard can change its spots. There is also a secondary love story between Zane’s dad and the manager of his diner within this story. Ms. Ridgway is a wonderful story teller, making me feel as if I was right there and making me want to spend time in Eagle’s Ridge. Her books draw me in, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers and am looking forward to the next entry in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

If you have read any other of my 7 Brides for 7 Soldier reviews you'll know that I am loving this series. As predicted Christie Ridgway does not disappoint. Zane is your typical man about town, the joker and gambler of the family. But that is hiding some serious self-doubt, caused by his mother leaving when he was young. Harper is a boring librarian, well that is what everybody tells her, but she moved to Eagle Ridge to breakthrough that shell imposed on her and Zane is just the man to do it. 3rd book in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series. This book tells the story of Zane Tucker whose twin brother and sister have recently found their soulmates. Zane falls hard for the new librarian of Eagle's Ridge, WA, but their relationship feels mismatched (bull in a china shop versus quiet mouse type or leopard versus dust bunny). Predictable ending but a fun read along the way. (I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.)

I loved Zane! The story was a good visit back to the town of Eagle's Ridge. While part of a series, the stories have been all stand alone and can be read out of order. Harper is a recent resident while Zane is part of one of the founding families. They are a bit opposite each other in personality until you go deeper. I enjoyed Harper coming out of her shell and becoming more confident in herself. Her past boyfriend did a number on her. Zane is described as a bull in a china shop. He's bold and unable to control himself. But under the outside shell, he is really a bit of a marshmallow. This is why I loved him. The story is a quick and happy read. I enjoyed this story and look forward to others in the series. I received an advance copy for an honest review.

This was a sweet, well-written contemporary romance. This book can be read as a standalone book, though it is book 3 in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series. Harper Grace is tired of being called shy and has decided to start making some changes. Zane Tucker, an ex-soldier, is big and clumsy, and his dog is big and scared of just about everything. He's a man of action and not the type to settle down. When Harper, Zane and his dog cross paths, nothing will ever be the same! I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books by this author.

3.5 stars Both characters were dealing with how they perceived themselves based on a couple of bad previous relationships. The big difference is that Harper was actively trying to overcome that, step out of her shell and find a new self. Zane was not. His attraction to Harper was interesting. He felt compelled to seek her out but couldn't explain it to himself ;) I do wish more of their interactions had been shown and not said, but overall an enjoyable fun read. I have not yet read any of the other in the series, but I look forward to catching up and getting to know everyone else. ARC provided by author

I have never heard of a dog with so many phobias. Gambler is so cute! Harper is trying to reinvent herself. After being dumped by her fiancée because she is boring, she moves to a small town to become a librarian. After she is knocked down by Gambler, she meets Zane. Zane is a big guy and he is kind of clumsy when he is indoors. He sometimes frightens children with his size. Harper is so delicate and deserves someone more refined than he is, but Harper still seems to want him. Zane helps Harper be more adventurous and Harper gives him a peace that he has never felt before. He doesn't feel quite so clumsy around her.

This is Christie Ridgway’s book in the 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series. I really enjoyed this book. This is the story of Zane, a former soldier, and Harper, the town’s librarian. Zane sees himself as being too big, too clumsy and too rough for most women. This view has been reinforced by past experience with a former girlfriend. Harper is quiet and sees herself as boring and dull. Mostly because her former fiancé told her so when he dumped her. Initially these two make a very unlikely pair but their journey is really heartwarming and entertaining.

How a person views themselves, is not necessarily how others see them. With a touch of humor and an abundance of heart and wisdom, Ms. Ridgway sets about making her presence known in an already mind blowing series. Zane is the jock, always on the lookout for his next adventure. Harper has gotten used to watching from the sidelines, now she's ready to try something different. Less watching, more doing. She's one step away from rethinking her approach when a matchmaking fur ball, takes a little gamble of his own. With an empowering message and an adorable cast of misfits, Christie Ridgway is on her way to stealing the show.
