Meet the Author

Zanele Muholi is a photographer and the cofounder of the Forum for the Empowerment of Women. Her photographs have appeared in South African gay and feminist publications, including Agenda, Exit, and Womyn, as well as on the covers of books, including An ABC of LGBTI: A Resource Guide; Balancing Act: South African Gay and Lesbian Youth Speak Out; and Tommy Boys, Lesbian Men and Ancestral Wives.
