I love working on my bicycle and this book has everything I could have asked for and then some. It is written very well and the illustrations are right on the money. I feel everyone should have a bicycle repair manual in their home and this book is it.It is very easy to understand and to follow along.

This is the book to have along whether you're just starting out as a mechanic or as a reference for a seasoned wrench.

The only book you'll need on bike maintenance. Its not only a great reference book, its also fun to read straight through.

This book is indeed an excellent resource, but at times the wording and diagrams could have been a bit clearer. I would say this book is best for the advanced beginner or above, but there may be better guides out there for the novice.

I find that this book is great for every cyclist to have. It's a great tool in understanding your bicycle. I just started cycling in April and I have found this to be very useful in helping my understand the basics and how to explain to my bike tech what the problems are.

"Wrenching" doesn't come naturally to me. I'd rather be riding. I'll still leave the major overhauls to the professionals with the expensive tools, but books like this are helpful for minor adjustments, lubrication and general understanding of how a bicycle works. It's not really that complicated of a vehicle compared to a car that needs to be hooked up to a computer to be diagnosed. This is a fine and useful book if you take the time to consult it. Well written and organized with helpful pictures. The lack of the fifth star in the rating says more about me than the book.
