Zombies! Episode 2: Abby's Bad Day by Ivan Turner

For Abby Benjamin, reality is hard enough. She must get out of bed in the early hours of the morning in order to get work on time. Her husband is unemployed, one of the many whose skills became expendable. And, on top of it all, her son is ill.

At the gym where she works, she does her best to put everything aside and concentrate. But when one of the customers becomes ill and injures himself, she takes him to the hospital only to enter a brand new nightmare. The dying, the dead, and a locked down ER with Abby inside make her long for the problems she's left behind.

About the Author

A child of the movies, I was always consumed by fantastic stories told by others and translated into adventures to be retold by me through the action figure medium. As I grew older, I put the action figures away and moved into the realm of role playing. Though I never outgrew role playing, I certainly don't have the time for it anymore. Since I was eleven years old, I've been pouring almost every ounce of creative energy I have into writing. I graduated college in 1993 with a degree in computer science. I tried my hand at programming for a couple of years and found it pretty unsatisfying. I later became a partner at a comic book store, where I spent several years. Though it wasn't a financial success, the experience I gained from running the store and the people that I met (many of whom I'm still in touch with today) was priceless. After leaving the store, I settled into a career of teaching. I still teach at a public high school in New York. Ironically, I've picked up computer programming again, which is what I mostly teach. I've been writing the whole time. I released my first book electronically in 2010. Forty Leap was a turning point for me in both style and story building. The Book of Revelations, which was written earlier but released later, was sort of a midway point between the writer I was and the writer I've become. I experimented with a very odd style and a story that employed diverse characters and controversial situations. In September 2010, I released the first installment of Zombies! Zombies! has been a tremendous success for me that came very close to being made into a television series. Since Zombies!, I have written a five part miniseries called Castes and have been working on developing tabletops games, the first of which, ApocalypZe, was published in early 2014. A couple of free stories about some of the characters in ApocalypZe have been released. I have written others and am working on putting them together into a novel.

Im on episode 6 and id have to say this is the best zombie story ever. Better story line thsn the walking dead. Would love to see this made into a movie. If brad pitt can do world war z, how about matt damon as detective heron?

These series of stories are super awesome. I'm glad the page count stepped up. Mr. Turner is right up there with Bonnie Dee, Joe Wellington, David Moody, Mark and Mike....LOL...Thank you Sir for tons of wonderful stories.

Just completed Zombies by Ivan Turner books 1 – 10. This was a very good story, stretched out over 10 books, I guess it was originally published in monthly episodes but I was lucky enough to get all 10 at B & N so I could read them back to back. I hate having to wait months or longer for the next in a series. Anyway, each episode is 200-300 pages long. The series is a good story with good character development and how the characters reacted and lived through a zombie apocalypse in New York City. There is some blood and guts, but the stories don’t dwell on it. Lots of human interaction with the zombies. On to the next set which I hope has already been completed and I can read as I did this set. Thank you Ivan Turner for a really good story.

This is the second episde and I'm definiteky craving more. This has more action than yhe first episode and shows how panic can affect people. I love getting to know the characters better each time. I purchased the rest of the series and a looking forward to the end. I'm already on episode 6, having just started with episode 1, only 5 days ago. I read episodes 1-5 in just a few hours. Quick, fun reads!

>>I love this series and highly recommend it! Each book is fairly short at 100 to 200 pages; but they are action packed and full of twists and turns. Start with Zombies! And read them in order to avoid spoilers ;)
