    Better Than I Ever Expected!

    I ordered the Kraft Artist Model Icon Sketchbook because I like writing in sturdy journals with blank pages. This is a wide, well constructed cool looking sketchbook and I am extremely happy with my purchase!

    One Line a Day: A Five-Year Memory Book

    Thick pages--great for art journaling!

    I purchased this for an Art Journaling class where I'd be painting the pages, using adhesives with fabric and tissue paper, coloring in pen, attaching ephemera, etc. It's been GREAT! The pages are heavy stock AND they are perforated so I can pull out pages I don't like (to throw away) or pull out pages I do like (to scan, share, frame, etc.).

    Purchasing the supplies for the first class was a bit daunting, but I came out on top with this particular journal!

    It lays pretty flat, but would be better as a ringed journal so as to lay completely flat.

    I like the black edge--it gives it a more professional look and stacks nicely on a shelf.

    There is a lovely starter page--a bit more formal than you may expect from a sketch book.

    The larger pages (bigger than the average 8 1/2 X 11) are wonderful and definitely what I need to journal away!

    Sketchbook aka Journal

    I bought the book as a combination journal/sketch book. It didn't take long to realize that the pages are made of quality paper with perforated edges more suited to drawing than journaling. It is the perfect pen and ink sketch book. You can doodle, draw, create an illustraed poem or a map, and then tear it out to copy it or share it. I am thinking of buying the smaller version to keep in by backpack when I camp and hike this summer.

    also a gift for my neice. She loves it; however, though pages can come out, if sketching in the book, not quite as versatile because of the binding.

    I love this book! I have one that I have commissioned several different comic artist to draw in for me. The pages the perfect size, paper is good quality and the book is very durable. I like it so much, I'm buying a second one.
