I usually avoid leather because of the cows, but this smelled too good to resist. Other wonderful features: the leather is flexible, so you can bend back the pages you're not writing on. The binding is flexible, too, so you can do this no matter where you are in the journal. The pages--thank goodness--are unlined. I like to choose the size of my handwriting, and sometimes draw. And I have the hardest time finding nice journals with unlined pages.

I sort of wish it were refillable, but I'll probably just buy another when this one's full.

I bought this for a friend of mine who is often scribbling on pieces of paper here and there. He loved this as a gift for its earthy feel and compact size. It's especially nice that the pages are blank for either drawing or writing. It's a great go-to journal.

I love this journal. The rustic leather and blank ivory pages make this journal an incredible asset for recording thoughts, adventures or sketches. If you have something worth writing, this is the journal that should hold your words.

I quite like this journal, but I'm rather disappointed its missing nearly an inch on either side. The journal is not 6 x 8. Its 5 x 7. The pages are 4.5 x 6.5. I was wanting something slightly larger. It does have beautiful ivory pages, and it's extremely nice for notes and little drawings since there are no lines. One review said that it is rather flexible, but that must vary between them because mine certainly does not like to bend. I can hardly get it to open and lay flat, let alone bend it. It is most likely because there are simply so many pages. Take note of the shipping if buying online. They say it ships within 24 hours, but in reality they just send the electronic notice within that time; it does not get picked up from the warehouse within 24 hours. My advice is find it at the store to see if you like it.

This is a nice, eccentric journal, but I do not like that it has no lines. I am a personal fan of lined paper, but if that does not matter, this is an awesome pocket sized journal :)
