This cover feels fantastic in your hands. The synthetic leather is soft to the touch, and the Tupper Quote typography is crisp, eyecatching, and fun to run your fingers over to boot! The cover makes your Nook look very much like a book, which I believe was the point.
The flat front and back of the cover have something sewn inside of them to make them very stiff, while the spine has no such support allowing it to easily open. The cover folds backwards on itself with no resistance, so you can read on your Nook in one hand. The interior pockets on the left snugly hold plastic or business cards. My complaint on this is that unless you put multiple cards inside, the card pockets are not particularly snug nor anything I would trust important plastic to.
On the interior right, the lower cup is a very thick, sturdy, molded leather that holds its shape well and seems very durable. The elastic straps up on the top right interior are of a good quality and hold the nook firmly in place, though of the entire book cover they seem like the thing that's going to deteriorate most quickly.
While it has no bearing on the product itself, the packaging that the cover was housed in was very pretty and easy to open.
Overall a stylish, quality product, provided you like green!

Having read reviews on the various covers, I decided to go to my local B&N to check them out and I am VERY glad I did. They each definitely have a distinctive feel. This Tupper is soft to the touch AND is folds back easily and stays back. Some of the other covers were much more rigid and did not maintain the folded back position easily. I would encourage users to go to their local store and check them out "in person" so that you are getting what suits your individual preferences.
I did end up buying this one not only because of its feel and performance, but also because it will be easier for me to locate my nook in this cover because of its distinct color.

Faux leather, but feels very good and soft to the touch. I saw 90% of the assorted covers here on bn.com in the store and this one was my favorite.
I am happy with my choice, if you buy it, I think you will be equally pleased. I avoided the envelope kind because I did not want to be pulling it out and leaving it out to use.
They were also a tight fit.

I didn't read the description carefully enough...what is "Italian synthetic leather"...plastic, that's what. This cover feels soft, but it's not real leather. Also, the actual color is a little darker than it appears online (could be my monitor)...I thought it would be a leaf green but it has more of an Army/Olive green tint.
For over $30, this should be made out of real leather.

But I have to say this cover is luxuriously soft and makes me feel like I am reading a nice leatherbound book, but without any creatures dying for it. It is a very lovely spring green with a book lovers quote. It has pockets for headphones and memory cards or your barnes and nobles card!
Some people have said that it gets dirty but I read with it nearly every day and put it in my purse and bring it to work. It looks as new as the day I bought it! It is great how its designed to open like a book so you don't have to take it out like those stupid envelopes. Oh and the other covers are ridiculously priced with too few colors, and the ones they have are really boring and ugly.
Get the Tupper Quote if you have extra cash to do so and you will enjoy it while you read.

I absolutely loved the vibrant green color of the cover, the quote was nicely stamped and catchy, and the pockets on the inside were extremely useful for notes, bookmarks, appointment cards, etc.
The only malfeasance (although very detremental in my eyes) was that a few days after receiving the cover, a few drops of water spilled onto the front, which has permanently discolored it. I am extremely disappointed; I purchased the cover to not only protect my nook, but as a fashion accessory as well. Now, it appears as though I will have to buy another cover (not cheap--especially when you consider the cost of the Nook).

Very soft synthetic (faux) leather cover for your Nook. The quote from Martin Tupper adorns both the front and back of the cover stamped into the faux leather in a darker green. The cover is extremely smooth and soft to the touch, and is in a very light variegated green, giving the cover texture and eye appeal. When opened, the inside of the cover has three pockets on the left. Two of these pockets are small (say for the size of a credit card or a business card), and one long pocket for storing larger items. The bottom of the Nook easily fits into a sturdy matching faux leather lip on the right side, and is held securely by two elastic straps in each top corner. The lip at the bottom has a 2.5 inch opening so that the nook can be charged or headphones can be used without removing the cover. One of the best things about this cover is the ability to flip the cover completely open so the front cover touches and meets the back cover, enabling the reader to read the book with either your left or right hand, and not be bothered by a cumbersome spine or awkward binding. The color is a very nice green that will appeal to either gender - making a great gift.

I have had this cover for about three months now. I use my nook everyday and this cover has been great. I have dropped my nook and the cover protected it from the fall. I love the color because I always know where it is. Since I hold my nook often I love the feel of it and how after all this time it is still soft. It folds back great and even stands up. I haven't regretted this purchase.

This is a wonderful Cover, more than was expected.
The touch of the cover is a soft sort of feel and sturdy, very well made and love the inside pockets.
It feels just like a book in hand but better... It's just wonderful.
We bought 2 of them as gifts, and I will purchase one for myself.
Having more than one cover is fine in my opinion :)

I bought my NOOK in April and have had the Tupper Quote Cover since my birthday 2 weeks ago and I LOVE IT! Before I received the cover I was afraid to take the NOOK in my purse or briefcase, in case the screen might get scratched. Now that I have the cover I take it EVERYWHERE! The quality is GREAT, too. I like that there are slots for things like debit/credit cards and/or my driver's license so I can take a walk and stop to read at the park, maybe stop for a coffee or soda or ice cream and not have to carry a purse, too. The color is a nice green - could be used for a man or a woman, I guess. Above all, I LOVE MY NOOK and am glad it is now protected by such a beautiful cover that also offers convenience. I would recommend this product 100%.

It protects the Nook and looks nice. Until you rub it up against something accidently, then it gets stained. And until it starts to bow from the pressure of the elastic that holds the Nook in place in the upper corners. I am getting another cover, one of the neoprene sleeves that won't have either of those issues.

Love the color, the softness of the leather, holds like a real book, doesn't get dirty. What else can I say? It was my favorite cover of all of them and reasonably priced.

Another friend has a Kindle and wishes it would fit hers...the joy of having a nook...HOW COOL... = ) The nook is the best purchase I have ever made...and this cover...just ICING ON MY NOOK!!! This cover protects my Nook well. It's feel and color present a soothing sensation. What I love most is the ease to touch all the controls without moving the cover. The front can be folded completely back and that makes it very comfortable to hold the Nook and to touch both left and right controls.

I was apprehensive at first buying the nook as I can be a "purist". I really enjoy sitting down holding a hardcover book in my hands and escaping via a good book. However I thought I would try something new. So I took a chance and purchased the nook. May I say that I have no regrets. I take nook everywhere I go. I especially love having my nook with me during my multiple medical appointments. I don't have to read those boring outdated magazines in the waiting rooms.
I too had concerns about placing the nook in my purse, but since i have purchased the cover, I can take it anywhere, no worries. Great technology! Great accessories!

It goes everywhere with me; doctor's office, dentist, Starbuck's, work, even (I'm ashamed to say..)to the restaurant. The binding is soft and supple like a good book would have. My nook is secure and well protected. The quote is part of the cover's charm and attracts attention in public. The front cover pockets are snug enough to hold both my B&N member card and my gifted E-card which, like a Starbuck's card, is rechargeable. It's just a wonderful cover that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, if neccesary. Also noteworthy is the ability to bend the cover completely back for ease of reading with one hand. This combination of nook and cover has gone quite a way in causing causual acquaintances to want to purchase one also. Outstanding cover, well designed!! Kudos!

B&N definitely hit a home run with this cover, it's stylish, light weight, elegant, very well crafted, economically priced, easy to carry, soft to touch, vibrant and cool as a summer's breeze all at the same time. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. I bought this item as a birthday gift for my girlfriend before I bought the Nook and truly believe (there are a host of reviews to support what I'm saying) that I'm very lucky to have gotten my hands on such a perfect cover for the Nook. Let me say that it was not easy to come by, I called many B&N stores and was disappointed as many of the other Nook owners, but did receive the same excellent customer service practices, yes practices, at every B&N I called. Everyone I spoke with was helpful, courteous, polite respectful and did I say helpful? Kudos to B&N for finally taking customer service for what it is (an asset to your business) and getting it right. I called the Annapolis store on a tip from the Tyson's store to locate and acquire the cover and was pleasantly surprised when they actually had 1 in stock. The Nook representative heard the exuberance in my voice as I asked for what was the equivalent of a needle in a hay stack and matched my excitement by saying, yes we have one cover in stock and before I could say can you grab it for me she immediately put the phone down and expeditiously walked to the area of the kiosk, where the cover was and grabbed it for me. She told me that the item had been returned to the store and was actually, not in stock. I told her my ordeal on how I lived in Washington DC and worked in Virginia and how I would come to the store that night and she advised me that she could hold the cover for 3 days. I had to have that cover in my possession as soon as possible because I didn't want risk the chance of losing it and on a hunch, asked her if I could make the purchase over the phone, she paused and said that she would have to check with the manager and the manager said it was ok for her to do the transaction, WOW! I must say I've truly never experienced such superb customer service from a retailer before. On another note, I do understand how frustrating it can be to make a high dollar purchase and not be able to accessorize that item the way you want, so I definitely feel your pain but as for me, I'm loving this cover. I paid for the cover and the shipping costs and couple days later I received it and this is my happily after. As long as B&N keeps this up they will have a customer for Life.

I really like the convenience of reading a book in a physically more compact format. I don't have to fight to keep the book open when I have to move quickly, I just lay the Nook down and when I return I am on the same page and ready to pick up and continue reading.
The ability to order books right from my Nook is absolutely the best and so easy.
Thanks B and N for being able to use gift cards to order books for this wonderful
e reader, makes it nice for gift giving throughout the year.
I am glad that I purchased a cover to protect my Nook, makes it easy to carry and protect the Nook while traveling or just as a nice look on the coffee table at home.
