Meet the Author

When Aileen Fish was eight or nine, she told the mom next door that she wanted to be a writer, but she hated writing her stories down. At twelve, she wrote her first novel after reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. Well, she wrote most of it. That writing it down part got in the way again.Aileen's early works as an adult included a parallel-world Young Adult fantasy based on Native American mythology, which she wrote with the help of Ray Faraday Nelson in the Writer's Digest Novel Writing Workshop. Her short fiction at that time was primarily dark fantasy, and her first sale was "Saturday Night" in the Summer 1991 issue of After Hours Magazine.Obviously, Aileen has trouble remaining in the real world. Even as she ventured into romance, there was always a paranormal twist. She has tamed the inner beasts and demons into short periods of submission, which allow traditional historical romances to escape onto the page. Oh, and she no longer has that problem with finishing a story. Now, it's a matter of finishing fast enough for the next hero to get his turn.

SHORT - SWEET - NO SEX! I knew this was going to be a very shor

SHORT - SWEET - NO SEX! I knew this was going to be a very short Novella but I truly had hoped for an Epilogue, but there isn't one, so warned. The main character's tell everyone they never want to marry, then in a matter of a few pages, everything changes. But, the story is sweet, the book is free, so you have nothing to lose. (ljb)

    Want more!

This left me wanting more. The characters and plot were well developed, but I would have liked to see the book go further. I even looked to see if there was another book which followed this one.

    A good read

Was a nice book, nice story. For some reason it just didn't hold my interest and my mind keep wondering. Could be just me but I just could not get into it. It really was a nice story and interesting. I just need a little bit more to hold my interest. Sorry

I bought this to read in one sitting not really expecting much. To my surprise I am loking forward to reading more by this author. This story , while considered short, was well rounded snd felt complete.

    Review:

"A Bride For Christmas" by Aileen Fish was a beautiful told romantic historical short story. "A Bride For Christmas" was what you can call a 'sweet and clean read.' The two main characters Nash and Julianna were well delivered, developed and oh so colorful. I did enjoy how this author was able to bring out many all of the descriptive details in this good read. We find both Nash and Julianna are surrounded by 'happily wedded siblings, with their children and even their parents who loved each other'....could this happen to them? It seems like the heroine wasn't interested in marriage but how about this hero? This is where I say you must pick up this good read to see for yourself how this author will bring it all out to the reader. It will be a beautiful as well as a delightful twist that will leave a smile on your face. Would I recommend? Yes!

    Painfully slow & boring

That says it all. 45 pages into it; I decided I could not torture myself any more.

    Great novella

60 pages; very well written. I liked the main characters and their families. The love story seems complete, and not rushed. I would have liked the hero to surprise the heroine with an extensive exotic honeymoo though, as he knw how much she wanted to travel.

This was a sweet warm cuddly romance. I would have liked more at the ending. It was good. No swearing, no sex. Just kissing. I liked it. J... :-@
