This is a free prequel to Sylvia Day's Renegade Angels series. I really liked "A Touch of Crimson", the first book in this series and was thrilled when I found out this novella had been released. While "A Touch of Crimson" tells the story of one of the angels, this novella tells the story of one of the vampire Fallen. I thoroughly enjoyed this novella and fell hard for Raze, the only Fallen to lose his wings and never know love. Kim is a great match for him and I want to know how their story unfolds. I love the world that Sylvia Day has created. This novella was a great treat and left me wanting more. Now I want to reread "A Touch of Crimson" and I just read it a couple of months ago. For those of you interested in a new PNR series featuring angels, lycans and vampires you should read this novella. It's quiet possibly the best free read I've found on B&N.

Although I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters in this short story, I couldn't really see myself getting into this series of books. For whatever reason I had a hard time trying to wrap by brain around the different ranks/types of vampires. I guess for me I need less thinking, more action. :)

This book had potential. Th characters were good, the story story line was starting to build then it just ended. I felt like i had to many questions and would like to know what happened. So overall it was to short for me, I was disappointed in the ending. Not worth the bother.

I can't believe how it wad ended. Just when it was really getting going it ended i felt like I paid for a sample & and now I can't get the rest of the book. What's up WHERE IS THE REST OF THE BOOK? Does the Kendle give you better books?

Well written but ends WAY to suddenly. 167 pages it felt like the author had an appointment to make and ended it as she ran out the door. That aside the story had great potential for a decent paranormal romance

An interesting spin on the whole vampires and werewolves genre. Refreshing, well-thought, and infinately better than all that 'Twilight' garbage. *These* characters actually have personalities you can care about.

loved it until i realized it was over and it barely started. i mean ehat the hell, you get me into it and totally leave me hangin what happens next, i guess ill read the nxt one to see if it finishes the story this one started i rated it 3 stars cause what was there i liked, but it feels like im in the middle of a book and left hangin
