Overview

My name is Zoe McKinley. I have a boring life, an awful job, and a boss that throws staplers at my head. What could be worse?

How about being abducted by Aliens?

Being dragged through a mirror, naked and screaming, onto an extraterrestrial ship was bad. Finding out I had been sold to a huge alien male who looks like the Devil was worse. But learning he wanted to trade me to an intergalactic petting zoo was the worst of all!

Now I'm whizzing through the galaxy with a robot butler, a trio of nib-nibs (they're like tiny green monkeys) for pets, and one huge, muscular, and very grumpy alien. The clothing they gave me shows all my lady-bits, the food-sim makes lemon pie that tastes like sauerkraut, and Sarden, my captor, is too hot to stay mad at, even if he is a jerk.

In fact, I think I might be falling for him.

What's a girl to do? It's all in a day's work when you've been...Abducted.

Great premise. Sometimes the dialogue was a bit awkward. Hated when the heroine was kinda stupid, making really bad choices. I am off to buy the next book though.

I've read all of the Kindred Bride series and this one doesn't disappoint either.

Omg she got kidnapped like her intelligence is no more than a freakin elementary school aged child! I (almost) can't even keep on reading beyond this halfway point bc the main female lead is behaving sooooo stupidly. I love this author, and that's the only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of zero. I have faith she'll redeem this unbelievably stupid "heroine" soon

4.5 stars. Lots of action and adventure along with a bit of spice. I liked the story line and love Evangeline's writing style. It pulls you in and has you smile and laugh throughout the book. The only thing that dropped this by half a star for me was the heroine's constant use of "pervert"; it was wearing and at moments the girl was dense. Seriously dense. Loved Sarden's sweet kindness and gentleness. Great hero. I'm really looking forward to the next book PROTECTED. Adult read

I have all the Kindred books and love them! So I wasn't disappointed with this book . Gotta love hunky aliens that adore you! I loved the nibnibs. Going for the next one.

I just started the new series and I love it. I love the reference to Game Of Thrones. This is funny, cute and sexy, and yes there is sex in it, so if you don't like it then these books are not for you. This is going to be a great series.

This is the first Evangeline Anderson novel I have ever read. I am a great fan of Laurann Dohner's Cyborg Seduction series and Zorn Warriors series, both really excellent sci-fi erotica. I am always looking for new, good Sci-fi erotica, and this novel was almost there. The plot was good, the different worlds easy to understand, but the heroine was very annoying. She was constantly doing stupid things, totally ignoring her inner voice or her"gut" telling her something was wrong! Most people, regardless of their personalities on their own worlds, would be hesitant to do many of the things Zoe did. But that is my only gripe. It is a good story overall, but I am always going to compare ALL sci-fi erotica to Laurann Dohner's 2 series. Hopefully the next installment about Leah will be better.

I liked this book but for being a new series there are a lot of similarities to the Brides of the Kindred books (to name a few: both series start out with three friends on Earth, healing your mate with your bodily fluids=blood Kindred, forming a psychic bond=just about any Kindred and his mate, and Count Creepy McGrabbyPants=Two). Despite the similarities to the Kindred series, the author brings us a new universe and populates it with new and interesting races of people. The La-ti-zal twist was a pleasant surprise. The story was good, though it was a little slow in the beginning. It is also filled with pop culture references. I am looking forward to see where this series will go.

This story is about 359 pages. It is a really good story, and I enjoyed it. I have to disagree with the two reviews of 2 stars... Zoe had low self esteem people! Also she was in an entirely different universe for crying out load!! NOTHING was familiar, so yea she may have come across a bit "air headed", but would you be so smart if you were in her shoes?!? lol That being said, I believe Sarden and Zoe's story was fun to read about. I did like all the sci fi scenes from our movies/ shows put in for it made it funny!! I thought when Zoe would keep saying her special name wrong was cute. (A fellow sci fi nut). A little similar to some sci fi romance, but overall still had some twists that were a bit new/different.****

Seems to me that I have read this plot in some of the other books. So tried of pay for the same plot but with characters having different names. Can you please stop making your female an airhead. Just because she's not a size 0 doesn't mean she shouldn't have a brain.

Same words, same / similar actions for all of the intimate scenes. Female lead characters are not the brightest crayons in the box.

Very different first book that I've read from this author and it was great can't wait for the rest of the series to come out .I couldn't put it down at all I had to keep reading definitely different but in a good way

I found that this was a little bit different from the Kindred series but in a good way, with less focus on sex and more focus on the plot/ story line. Don't get me wrong it has it's moments of amazing sex scenes. I am a huge fan of Evangeline Anderson because she is able to paint a picture with her words without having to add in extra to fill the page. This is another book whereby you as the reader get pulled into the story within minutes and you can picture everything the author written with ease.

I was given an Advanced Review Copy, by the author, in return for a honest review. Zoe McKinley thought dealing with her terrible boss was bad, but after being abducted by a red horned alien her life may have gotten a whole lot worse. Alien halfbreed Sarden is in need of a special female, a Pure One, that he can use to trade for his little sister. Using the Alien Mate Index, a newly formed list of Earth females that have Ancient Ones blood in their veins, he chooses Zoe, a curvy, paralegal from Florida. Can Zoe escape her captor and warn women of Earth of the hazards of reflective surfaces? Can Sarden go through with his plan? What will fate hold for the pair? Loved this novel; full of romance, adventure, suspense, and bantering humor. It has everything from a creature in a dunk tank to a crazed computerized being with ill intent. A well written, descriptive story, especially the aliens, their customs, and home planets. The plot was action-packed till the end. Zoe is one smart, headstrong Earth girl, and Sarden may have just met his match. A must read in this new series, Alien Mate Index! Can't wait for Grav and Leah story! - Sarah
