Overview

After moving away for college, Sage Worthington settled down to a job in the city and only comes back to her parents' ranch for weekends and holidays. After receiving a call that will change her life forever, she rushes back to the place she always thought of as home and to the two little siblings whom she loves dearly. This is where she is needed, and this is where she wants to be.

Clifton Welsh was raised by his grandparents who have retired to a smaller house built for them on their favourite patch of the family land, close enough that they can keep an eye on their pride and joy. Grandpa turned the ranch over to Cliff to run but that doesn't mean his feisty grandma trusts him to run his own love life. The rancher has been Sage's next door neighbour for as long as he can remember. Cliff remembers Sage as a pesky teenager who needed a good spanking. Now that she's back, he sees her as a beautiful twenty-four-year-old who still needs a good spanking.

Sage needs a husband and she needs him fast, before she loses custody of her younger brother and sister. Cliff is determined to use any means necessary to stop her from doing something rash and dangerous. He is even willing to marry her himself – but is Sage ready to commit to an old-fashioned man who spanks?

Meet the Author

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother and an author. I guess my love of writing began when I was in school. It was the subject I loved most.

I didn’t write while my oldest children were small because I was busy raising them. Also, there was in Internet then… there weren’t many computers at all and those that -were there were not much more than glorified typewriters. The Internet and high-tech computers make life so much easier and although I still have a couple of children at home, I have much more time to write.

This was such a nice, sweet, old fashioned romance!! I absolutely loved it. But don't mistake that it didn't have any fun!! It was full of heartfelt and sexy spanking scenes and wonderful sex, too! The sweet story of old friends meeting back up under tough circumstances and beating the odds to make it work! A wonderful story!!

This is a very enjoyable short story of a family orphaned by a car accident and how the older sister (Sage) finds a way to keep them together. Sage wants to take guardianship of her younger siblings, but an unexpected condition in her parents will requires that she either by 30 years of age (she is only 24) or married! Enter Cliff, a neighbor and former “friend” who is more than willing to “act” as her husband to enable Sage to keep both the kids and her farm. Needless to say, Sage needs guidance and discipline as she gets her act together to be mature enough to handle the stresses of parenthood and land ownership. Cliff does a great job of taking her in hand as he leads them through this loving tale. Some of the scenes are predictable, and there could have been more, but there is enough to earn a full 4 star rating. Enjoy.

A cute and romantic marriage of convenience story where Sage (I love her name by the way) overcomes the death her parents and takes on the responsibility of raising her siblings. She finds that she has to grow up fast, and Clint is all too happy to make sure she doesn’t lose the kids. With a few quick lessons over his lap, she becomes a more responsible guardian.

I enjoyed this emotional, yet humorous story about Sage, a young woman who lost both parents and wants desperately to care for her young siblings, and Cliff, her neighbor who wants to help her and falls for her in the process. Sage is understandably in emotional turmoil after the death of her parents and not making the best decisions. Luckily, Cliff is happy to provide the corporal punishment she needs to refocus. The plot was interesting, the characters and their interactions were heartwarming, and the book left me with a smile on my face. Overall a great read you won't want to miss.

4 ½ stars What a sweet romance. Cliff is a rancher that has always loved Sage. Sage just recently lost her parents and needs to hold it together for her brother and sister. I liked that Cliff was so caring and willing to do whatever it took to keep Sage and the kids protected and loved. There was mild DD when Sage acts out and loses her temper. There are some sexual scenes but not overly graphic. Overall a sweet read.

This is an interesting story that makes you wonder about "What if........". I admire Sage's determination to keep her family together no matter what after the death of her parents. She is very strong willed and stubborn young woman. Cliff is strong, patient and kind. They are thrown together in marriage in order to keep the siblings with them. Sage and Cliff work hard at becoming a partnership. The best part of this story was the "happily ever after " ending.

I loved this awesome story. The characters were well developed including the secondary characters. Sage starts out as an immature girl who has to grow up fast after losing both parents and her young brother and sister need a responsible person to care for them. Neighbor Cliff steps in and so begins the relationship. Lovely romance, hot sex, spanking, great dialogue and a beautiful happy ever after ending.

I loved this book! After losing her parents in an accident Sage, although young, is trying to take over parenting her younger brother and sister. Her neighbor and old time friend Cliff has feelings and wants to take care of not only Sage but Nettie and Bailey. I enjoyed watching this love story develop. It was well written that has a realistic situation along with realistic characters. The author includes a lot of emotions and love, spankings, and wonderful sex scenes. Overall I love this book and highly recommend reading this story! Hope you enjoy as much as I did!!

I loved this. There was plenty of chemistry and sparks between Cliff and Sage, and a loving multi-generational family. Their relationship began from a need for Sage to keep her family together after her parents tragic death and love grew from there in this very sweet romance.

THE DIFFERENCE WILL BE THAT THIS IS LIKE A RENT-TO-OWN ARRANGEMENT I enjoyed this emotional story that because of extenuating circumstances, two neighbors will come together in an act of desperation to keep a young family together. Sage Worthington was an only child until she was fifteen years old, then her brother Bailey was born and a couple of years later a sister, Netty. At twenty-four years old, Sage is on her own, out of college and holds a job in the city, but one accident takes the life of her and her sibling's parents, bringing her back home to the ranch. Neighboring rancher, Clifton Welsh has been raised by his grandparents since he was young. He is older than Sage at always saw her as a pesky bratty teenage girl. The plot has three siblings grieving over the death of their parents, the reading of the will that leaves Sage shocked and a mountain of debts for the ranch. To keep her siblings, she must marry or wait until she is thirty years old. To save the ranch, she needs someone who can help with the ranch and to start making a profit. Desperation can lead to crazy schemes. Is Clifton the answer to her problems so she can keep her siblings and make something out of the ranch? Will he be willing to help and keep it as an in-name-only relationship? Sometimes meddling older people are wise in their actions and deeds, and maybe this young family will get their happily-ever-after ending. There is a great cast of characters and entertaining interaction. There is plenty of angst and discipline along with tender heartwarming moments and sex scenes.
