Overview

Forty-six.
That’s how many hybrids survived the Hunter attack in the woods after I revived them with an injection of my blood. That’s how many followed me home to Frederick Falls. And that’s how many were now mentally linked to me through a blood bond.

Two days. Three valium. Fourteen hours of sleep.
That’s what it took to realize I wasn’t losing my mind as a result of the noise in my own head.

Sixteen.
That’s how many days have passed since I almost killed Alex. That’s how many days I’ve sat by his bedside, waiting for him to wake up. To ease the guilt, to understand his betrayal, to remember the exact shade of brown in his eyes.

Zero.
That’s my chances of skating by with Gordon Steppe and the Hunter Council. They want me for questioning. I’m afraid what’ll happen if I give them answers.

I was given a complimentary copy by author Heather Hildenbrand for an honest review. This is book 4 of The Dirty Blood series by the author.

It seems like everything is coming crashing down on Tara and her group. Tara just can't seem to get a step ahead of anything as more things happen to her and the group

I did not think that the story could get any better or get more action but it did and WOW. I thought I enjoyed the other books but this shoots the other books out of the water.

This book is for any paranormal romance reader who likes action and drama in their read. This book starts where book 3 ends so it is best to read the books in order.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Oh no, I have reached the end of the line for now.  Book five will only be released later this year, and Blood Bond had such a dramatic ending that I can hardly contain my anticipation in wait.

Heather Hildenbrand surprises me more with each book.  Just as I think that nothing else can happen to these characters, another unfortunate, inescapable trauma awaits them.

Blood Rule, the name is easy to relate to the story told.  Basically Tara rules a pack of hybrids that are bound to her through a link that an injection of her blood, to heal them from dying and insanity, caused. She is now the alpha of a pack she didn't want in the first place, but due to the bond she feels their emotions and thoughts.  To her surprise Tara becomes not only attached to her hybrids, but also starts to care for them.  Soon she considers them her pack.  She cares for them and protects them as an alpha should.

Our awesome Wes does what he always does, he protects Tara and for that we fall more and more in love with him throughout the series.  In this book though, he gets out of his comfort zone and allows Tara to make the decisions of how best to face her enemies, even when his  first instinct is to protect her from harm.

In an interesting twist, Alex and Tara's complex relationship becomes even more complicated, but I won't spoil the fun and give it away.

As with all of the books in the Dirty Blood series, I loved this book.  Heather Hildenbrand did a wonderful job of making the characters real, and I related to every one of them (except Victoria who remains a pain in the ass) from the very first chapter of the first book.  If you didn't already start reading, you're missing out!

Geez! I think this series is giving me heart palpitations!! Like the others in this series, this book made my emotions run wild. I was irritated, scared, angry, anxious, hopeful, and there were even a few stolen moments of love that made me swoon a little in between all the action. There really is never a dull moment in this book! Tara has grown up a lot and is slowly beginning to accept who she is. Wes is just as brooding and handsome as ever and I still just love him to pieces! #TEAMWES I have really grown to love (almost) all of the characters and am completely invested in their well-being at this point, which is why it makes me a little crazy to see how much they have to go through just to stay sane and alive. Gordon Steppe is seriously pissing me off, he's becoming even more of a sneaky, underhanded scumbag than ever before. I have to say, I think this is my favorite book in the series so far and it really makes me wanna scream that I have to wait for the next one!
