With every tragedy comes the opportunity for a hero to be made I felt like Mia and Tristan were heroes in their own rights. Their love story and friendship had me feeling butterflies, smiles and kept me connected to them from start to the end

Meet the Author

I love to read. Always have, always will. My favorite genre is romance, but I also enjoy thrillers, mysteries, some sci-fi, rock n' roll biographies and autobiographies.

I'm obsessed with music. OBSESSED. I'm very partial to rock music, but I also enjoy rap, country, classical, oldies and pop. I could go on "Don't Forget The Lyrics" and clean up! My two favorite bands of all time are Fleetwood Mac & The Foo Fighters, followed VERY closely by Social Distortion, Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell, The Eagles, Blondie, Heart, Tori Amos, Pearl Jam, U2, The Cure, Garbage, The Goo Goo Dolls, Duran Duran, The Beastie Boys, Depeche Mode, Elton John, The Misfits and Metallica. Clearly, I've got eclectic taste. If you got a look at my iTunes library you would die laughing. I live for the GREASE soundtrack and can sing the hell out of any Guns n' Roses song.

I'm a total practical joker. I love to laugh. My favorite TV shows and movies tend to be comedies but I absolutely love Twin Peaks, Lost and Dark Shadows. I have a soft spot for eighties music. If I could hang out with any celebrity for one day, I'd choose Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters. My celebrity crush is (currently) Ian Sommerhalder. I think he's adorable.

This was an amazing book. Be warned, this is a NA book so there are topics and scenes not suitable for children.  I loved the characters in this book, it was easy to fall in love with them. Mia was a girl who came from a troubled past and was seeking to make a better life of herself in college. This is where she met Tristan. Tristan was a damaged soul who was sweet and caring, but sexy, so it was easy to fall in love with him. I loved that Ella Fox didn't just through the insta attraction card for them and made it all about passion. She really developed these characters and we saw how their relationship grew from friendship. I can't wait to see what else Ella Fox has to offer. This was a great book, can't wait for more on this couple, maybe something like the Hart series where we see how the couples are doing later, maybe a bunch of babies/weddings in the future....fingers crossed. I am not sure that I have enough words for Catch My Fall by Ella Fox. This book is amazing, from the very first word to the very last word, Fox did not miss a single beat. It is a tough, emotional, tragic read, but the HEA is well earned. There is also so much humor, I laughed through my tears. Yes, real tears, don't judge me, just read this book.

There are certain NA books that I seek out. The heroine has to be likeable with a past and the hero has to a bad boy with a tortured past. Okay, I cannot get enough of these books. Books like Catch My Fall. Mia Reeves chose a college 5 hours away from home so she could escape her town where she experienced something horrific. It was horrific. Certain parts were hard for me to read. Tristan Chamberlain also has a past, one that he keeps to himself and lets sit deep inside him. Tristan is a Malore as Mia’s roommate, Darby, like to call him. Malore stands for “male whore.” Mia knows all about guys like Tristan and she has no interest in getting involved with him even when he pulls some of his best lines/moves on her. I liked the fact that Mia’s characters did not act like a b***ch when she let Tristan know that she was not interested in becoming another girl that he would sleep with and leave the next morning. And I loved that Mia was not easy and this book was not inst-love. There was definitely insta-attraction, but Mia and Tristan started out as friends. You got to know the characters and the reader got to connect to them. I also loved the secondary characters Darby and Trace. The reader got a little insight on their “relationship.” Some of the verbiage was a little awkward, but I got into the story so it did not bother me too much. The only other part that bothered me was that I did and didn’t understand why Tristan ran when Mia finally told him what happened to her. This was a nice read. I did not skim, I did not find Mia or any of the other characters annoying. I think what happened to Mia happens to many girls who are too afraid to come forward. I know when my daughter is of a certain age I will talk to her about the subject. It is a hard subject to talk about, but I feel it is very important and it can happen to anyone. I think the author did a nice job making it part of the story. A copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

Though the review below is irrelevant, Fox did a good job at making sure a reader can be connected with the story. For the first time in awhile I am happy that I bought a book that was worth the money i had to pay.
